MOVEON.ORG WARNS 'MIGHT HAVE TO PULL PLUG'...

Wed, 2012-05-30 13:35
MoveOn, a giant in the progressive political world and an early endorser of Barack Obama in 2008, warns that it might have to “pull the plug” on key campaigns to help Obama and Senate Democrats if its 7 million members don’t pony up with at least $5.

Without a rush of new cash, MoveOn says it will have to give up efforts to elect Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts, help the recall fight against Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, and energize younger voters who’ve soured on Washington.

Obama's handlers promise that using vapid personal attacks this will be the most divisive, hateful campaign for the Presidency in American History. The Obama Era is proving to be a very dark time in our Nations' history.

Fair minded, even handed, clear thinking Americans will "Man Up" and support Governor Romney in 2012.

"Likeability" in a NICE trait to have in a politician.

Better yet to KNOW that a person is UP TO THE TASK of running this country and defending the Constitution is what makes a country work.

Additionally, selectively bailing out a few businesses, assassinating our enemies, and buying votes with low taxes (that will increase the burden on future generations) doesn't make a President a hero at home, nor a hero around the world.

GM = 250,000 of there employees are not in this country, only 54,000 are here. Obama claims to be for the workers........true, in Europe and Asia.

Bin Laden, well I guess we have to wait for the movie to come out since that's who Obama sold the proof to for the movie.

The rest are lies.

That should not be alarming, the GM 250,000 is part of the Employer Exodus from America during the Bush Administration to take advantage of the Tax incentives deferring Taxes on overseas generated income.

How had you associated any of the Bush policies that moved more than 6 Million manufacturing jobs overseas? That was a major issue during the Bush presidency, how has it resurfaced using Obama's name?

Those policies were signed and locked in in 2001 and 2003.

Some of you guys just make chit up as you fly by in here...... ROFLMAO

So WHAT prevented the Obama Administration from creating tax incentives in the last 3-1/2 years that would BRING those jobs back??

The voters need proof of his leadership abilities, and the voters aren't quite seeing any of that.

If you don't know the policies and when they went into effect, how are you associating the results of the Bush Tax Policies upon the current President? Where those opinions distributed to you by way of Republican Television?

How do you not know 6 Million Jobs were outsources during the Bush Administration despite the talk relating to the expansion of Brown-fields across the mid western States?

You seem to not have become interested in politics until the Election of this President.

Ok, now I understand...... ROFLMAO

you are just throwing out accusations without any basic understanding of what you're taking about?

I thought that was the case which is pretty common with the GOP Supporters.

During the same year (2006 of Bush), General Motors laid off 2,400 jobs in Oklahoma City; in addition to the direct job losses, the closure eliminated an estimated 5,000 additional jobs in local suppliers and related industries. NEITHER A UNION PROPOSAL TO CUT LABOR COSTS BY 20% NOR THE STATE'S OFFER OF $200 MILLION TO UPGRADE THE PLANT swayed the company. The Oklahoma City shutdown was part of a national trend (under GW BUSH) that saw GM shutter multiple plants in the United States while simultaneously investing billions of dollars in new facilities in Mexico, where auto worker wages are less than ONE-TENTH of even their NON-UNION counterparts wages north of the border.

Sure jobs are returning to America.

The questions ARE, what has Obama done, and why does HE deserve any credit for their return??

Here's the REAL REASONS FOR the return of JOBS:

"Business leaders and economists credit the made-in-America-again trend to several factors: rising labor costs in China, increasing costs to ship products to the U.S., and the desire to more directly control the manufacturing process and the quality of the products."

http://www.vindy.com/news/2012/jan/30/manufac...

NONE of this has ANYTHING to do with actions by the Obama Administration!!

<Except maybe the RISE IN the costs of shipping can be blamed on Obama taking UNNECESSARY RISKS in the Middle East>

The Employees in Europe at the GM Plant, not unlike the Mercedes Plants in America were never part of the American GM Division and upon Bankruptcy were not part of that filings, the Division in Europe is a distinct and separate entity.

Major automobile manufacturers separate their divisions like Toyota who has had a presence in America for greater than 25 years out in California and similarly employ thousands of American workers to produce and manage their facility.

However, those trends of outsourcing some items are returning back to America as our production methods provide for less per unit price than some of the overseas locations.

One of the problems is that Americans don't have the education and skills to work in modern assembly plants and employers are having a difficult time staffing.

Basically a lot of Americans do not read, and write well and aren't proficient in basic arithmetic.

When there is talk of generated American income in excess of $2 Trillion Dollars overseas, what and why do you think that's an issue, Corporations don't way to pay taxes on the money and option to leave the money sitting overseas.

Returning the money to American Banks subjects the money to the Taxes due.

If you are capable of navigating corporate annual reports, there is an entry on the financial statements titled "Taxes Due", those are the balances of taxes due the U.S Treasury on those monies earned abroad upon return to America.
