Looking at some of the articles about it, it is clear that we're not only looking at unsound medical practices but a group of people who also had no qualms about screwing over several tribes of Native Americans, all to get their operation on land that the government couldn't touch in terms of controlling their shady operation. It's about money again. Always about making money. Stowers and Debusk must be two peas in a pod, or two pigs neck-deep in poop. Very sad commentary on the fine new medical school, isn't it?

From what I read about some of DCOM's leadership, it might be a good idea to rename DCOM. I suggest calling it The DeBusk School of Medical Quackery. Many of you might not know Pete and Dr. Stowers served on a committee that advised Congress on compensation amounts for Medicare to pay to hospitals for Medicare patient services. It might not look like a conflict of interest for a medical supply manufacturing company owner to set prices for services and supplies but then again it might. These two gentlemen seem to be birds of a feather.

this what u meant 2 post?

What is Scientology?
Based on the Works of L. Ron Hubbard
FUTURE PREDICTION OF SCIENTOLOGY

I have seen firsthand the work the Church has done to forward social betterment through its support of ABLE International and the Narconon drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs.

In my eight years as Medical Director for Narconon’s treatment center in Oklahoma, I have witnessed the strong dedication and commitment from ABLE and Narconon in addressing substance abuse, one of society’s most damaging and widespread problems.

This in itself will make its mark as more and more people overcome addiction through the application of L. Ron Hubbard’s discoveries in the treatment of chemical dependency.

As a long time employee, it struck me as odd to see the phrasing 'before Pete took it over' but that is exactly what has happened. The problem is that many people think that it is a good thing because the campus has grown so much since he became more involved. LMU is growing at a time when most small, private, southern schools are struggling or even going under. My question is, "is this sustainable?" We are growing now but how long can this continue?
New contracts were just issued for the upcoming academic year and few got any raises at all.
Employees (faculty and staff) are increasingly resentful of LMU DCOM (though many of the DCOM faculty and staff are great people!) Their wants and needs take precedence over everything else on campus.
Notice the recent addition of lamps (expensive ones) in the median approaching the medical school. Notice the lighting stops at the top of the hill. Notice the rest of the campus is still dangerously dark.(I guess we all know where our raises went)
Pete is endangering the university but either he doesn't know it or he doesn't care. LMU is currently facing the reaffirmation of their accreditation. Other schools have been placed on probation or lost their accreditation because of too much trustee involvement in campus operations. Loss of accreditation means LMU students no longer receive federal financial aid.
Employees are afraid to speak out too loudly. If we complain it is in hushed tones and only to a trusted few. There is a definite weight hovering over the campus and it shows no signs of lifting. You wanted to hear from an employee… now you have.

I am one of the ex-employees that Pete's dictatorial regime saw fit to remove from LMU. There is a weight hanging over LMU for sure and it won't be long before that weight begins to weigh on Pete, Nancy, and Gary Burchett and his rear end kissing robots. If this bunch of egotistical creeps think they are above the laws of these United States they will soon find that they have erred. Very soon they will begin to find the heat on them to be uncomfortable.LMU has violated a multitude of laws and I believe the University will find itself accountable for those violations. Pete and his cohorts will find that Lincoln Memorial University is not DeRoyal Industries.do anything Pete says

Based on past performance by Pete and his croonies, I can only imagine that they will pass the reaffirmation of their accreditation. He surrounds himself with those who will lie, cover up, or do whatever it takes, otherwise his medical supply company would have failed audits performed by the FDA and ISO certifiers years ago. Don't hold your breath waiting for Pete and crew to fail, they keep on winning and the cost of anybody but them.

I would have to say, it will probably pass accreditation, no matter what the cost...payoff, under-the-table transactions, getting rid of employees who make waves, or anything else like that. LMU (Love Money University) has become just like DeRoyal. When you have the amount of money that Pete has, many people will turn a blind eye. DCOM should have had it's own campus, since this seems to be Pete's "Pride and Joy". More money has been spent on this one building than the rest of the campus. They have already managed to split the campus based on those who go to DCOM and those who don't.

The only solution for the problems at LMU is to get rid of Pete DeBusk and his do anything Pete says cronies.I can remember many many years in which LMU employees were free to be helpful, friendly and did not fear for their jobs every minute of the day.I am not too sure that someone with hundreds of millions of dollars whose greatest enjoyment in life seems to be firing people and intimidating everyone else is not some kind of psycho. Most of us want to be helpful and kind to those around us.Is it possible that 40 years of ruthless efforts to accumulate wealth would not cause some kind of mental abberation or illness? Some one out there might be qualified to answer this question. If you are, I would like to hear your professional comments.

DCOM may end up being the reason that LMU survives. Instead of trying to get rid of Pete, we should be looking for more Petes willing to invest in the university. Then one man won't have so much power.

I know there are several employees leaving that has loved working at the University and have been there for a long time. It's a shame when they can't pay good employees decent money because they are to busy driving around in a Lincoln, living in a two story house on campus, and not paying for anything. Moody has her nephew living on campus in the blue house abouve mainentance and he doesn't pay for anything either, all he does is get on the radio and yap his jaw about politics, voice his opinion about stuff he knows nothing about.

More Petes, thats a laugh. He is going to get LMU into more trouble that he helps them. Since, he isnt suppose to live on campus according to the accrediation rules.

If LMU is going to be like Pete the best outcome for LMU would be bankruptcy and disposal of assets.I would rather see LMU fade into the dust bin of history than to see it turned into a clone of DeRoyal Industries. A company sending jobs to Central America and paying 3 to 5 dollars per day is not what the founders of LMU meant for this university to be. At present, LMU is an insult to the memory of Abraham Lincoln.

The Church of Scientology will not let DCOM/LMU go under. Tom Cruise and his cronies will come to its aid. After several attempts in other towns, its loks like it may have a home in the east in Harrogate.
