Depends on whose side you're on. A new coach could help bring some fresh energy to the program.

With the talent we have coming up next year we should easilly win district. If we dont I hate to say it but he needs to go. This year he won 3 games more than was predicted, but next year we had better go 8-2 or better or its time to go coach shoppin. The new turf field and indoor practice facility will help draw in a good coach if it comes to that though.... remember though we will be 3A next year so expectations are high. Good luck coach.

Getting a good coach now is important. We can get someone pretty good with our situation. 11 wins in 4 years just aint gonna cut it.

I will be the first to admit that I know next to nothing about football (and I do not want to improve that situation), but when the players on the field are more concerned with whether the fans in the stands are cheering than they are with playing football, there is a big problem! If they want to be cheerleaders, give them some pom-poms and a megaphone; if they want to play football they need to get their head in huddle and off the sidelines. That is the most disturbing thing I have ever seen from a football team. The coach needs to boot their butts off the field. The mamas and daddies of these players need to explain to them the difference between the cheerleading squad and they football team. So what if the people in the stands are not cheering for your egotistical butt, play ball; give them something to cheer about. Believe me, the cruel, cruel world isn't going to cheer for very much (if at all) either. Just my opinion, so you can all save your breath by telling me how wrong I am.

like the whole district was pretty weak. All 4 teams that made the playoffs lost. Need to go back to the top 2 teams going to the playoffs. 4 teams going is a joke.

I think he still has some time on his contract. What do all you nay sayers want to do pay another coach like we did D.A. and waste that money? Or is this about mad parents?

No Critter , you are right [as usual]
I played from third grade through college .
If anyone turned to the crowd , and tried to lead a cheer or get them involved there playing days were over.
As it should be.
Players , play .
Cheerleaders ...cheer.
As it should be.
If you are a Player and you know what the crowd is doing , your head is not in the Game.
I have Never seen a team do that.
They need to get their heads out of their Pom-Poms and into their helmits.

Maybe we should let the cheerleaders out on the field and tell them to win games. They are good and they do their job every time. It amazes me that coaches would allow that behavior in the first place, but somebody's daddy should have stepped up and explained how the game is played to their sons.

Those kids can out play you and "Deep Brown"...If ya'll dont like what they do or the way they play, then dont watch them or follow what they do. Ya'll are not the coach or the parents, so how about minding your own business. If you think you can do better, then get your a$$ out there and do it. If you cant, then shut the F up!!!

It's obvious that it isn't the coaching staff that is the problem.
It is a bunch of male divas who need to be wearing tutus instead of helmets. If the parents of the offending players got off their a$$ and told their boys to try real hard to be football players and not ballerinas or cheerleaders, the team would probably have gone to district. Begging for recognition is pathetic; if you do good, you'll get the applause. If you don't get applause, you probably didn't deserve it.

Dont you realize that no-one is allowed to criticize their little darlings!
" when I played" [I know,in the dark ages]
We did'nt even realize anyone was around.
We played because we loved to play!
Oh... and dont give cheerleaders a bad name ...They're tough!!!

Not giving the cheerleaders a bad name at all. They are terrific and deserving of applause.

Not mad at all. Are you on the team? Is your kid on the team? Its real simple...If you dont like the way the kids play then turn in your resume and try to become the coach. If your not hired and are still unhappy, then support another team. There are several in Rusk County. For being "cheer leaders" they didnt do to bad. If any of you have watched any type of sport, you will see [even in the pro's] players trying to rally support from the crowd. The problem is we have lame idiots like you and "Deep Brown" who sit in the stands and are to lazy to stand up and yell for your home team. Its clear from your posts that ya'll are not fans. Go watch another team....The LIONS dont need either one of you!! And "Deep Brown"...the only thing you ever played was with yourself. Your a spineless Crustation!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Gemini

You're in a very erratic mood today, making you restless, edgy and nervy. It may be almost impossible to settle to anything for long, because, as Mercury slows, you soon lose interest. If life becomes boring you'll want to liven it up in some way and it's likely you'll choose the most disruptive and controversial option you can think of, even though you know this will cause trouble.
