Where is free parking for the beach?

Where can I find some free parking for the beach. I am staying with a friend here in New Smyrna & don't want to have to always pay to park everytime I goto the beach. Can anyone help me out?

The main parking lot is Flagler Ave. across the north causeway. Then there is a small lot about ten blocks north on Sapphire. There are a few -- very few -- available at the Third Ave. approach about a half mile south. The other main parking lots are 27th Ave, 2.25 miles south of Flagler and Bethune Beach, about 7 miles south of Flagler.
