No more Daily Journal? We lose the Observer and now local coverage in the News Journal?

Good-bye DBNJ.

Not to worry! The Sentinel has been taking lessons on how to produce a newspaper from the News Jounrnal for a few years now. If fact its hard to tell the difference between the two. Both are "Progressive"!

The print MSM is getting a harsh lesson in capitalism, something heretofore they know little or nothing about.

Will the OS be next?

Maybe they should hold a phone-a-thon for a bailout.

PBS would have been gone a long time ago had it not been supported by tax dollars coerced from American citizens.

...Perhaps there is a sneaky method underlying this throat-cutting madness...
...Of what value is a gutted daily newspaper? Does this maneuver mean that the NJ is no longer worth the $129-million(plus), which Judge John Antoon (effectively) awarded to Cox Enterprises? How many tens of millions of dollars will be paid out in the NJ's "giveaway" termination package (apparenlty designed to thwart an unwanted sale to outsiders)...
...If the paper ain't worth spit to potential buyers, and even Cox doesn't want it--Will the Kaney Klan and Davidson Heirs retain ownership control?
...Alack and alas--mayhaps there are scheming scoundrels afoot, playing the game with sad losing faces but devious winning hands... ;-)

Greed plays an important part of the owners over all plan. No one will miss that fish wrap. They never told the real story, only what they wanted the public to know. When a robbery took place, they would never give a discription of the robber. Didn't want to hurt their local readers, nor want the robber caught. They knew he would do it again, (the robbers) and they would get new headlines. I feel bad for the workers but not the golden parachute exectutives. Hopefully they too will leave the area.

Whatever opinions of the paper, I always enjoy reading it on the beach when I visit. I only wish that all newspapers were tabloid style when there.

I have been a reader of the NJ for a long time, and I hope that Cox does a better job.

Firing the workers will pay for the millions in bonus money for the upper management. This is how the people from Israel take care of their loyal employees. Who would have thought?????

The Sentinel has taken its lessons from McPaper. It isn't 'Progressive','Regressive' or 'Impressive'- it's just set up for short attention span people who like a tiny amount of news bytes scattered between ads.

To the entity that calls itself 'really concerned citizen' and anyone else who read this ranting yawp:

The News Journal is a product of a Florida (not Israeli) corporation controlled by the estate of Herbert M. Davidson, which controls 52.5% of the shares. Of the remaining 47.5% of the shares, Cox Enterprise owns a portion because it bought the Palm Beach Post (which previously owned those shares.)

Cox Enterprise is the successor publishing company to a company founded in Dayton Ohio (not the naton of Israel), and is a private company that is 98% controlled by Anne Cox Chambers, who is not an Israeli.

Entity 'really concerned citizen' is really concerned to serve its Master in Hades, and does an excellent job of spreading hate, fear, confusion and lies. Entity should return to its Master now for its reward - why wait for the Judgement Day rush?
