Less than one half on one percent of the people in Fargo bought flood insurance. 100% of the people there were at risk. Warning announcements were running on TV and Radio months before the floods and in the newspaper. As late as December and January the folks could have bought flood insurance but didn't. Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture? Perhaps we should require that people pass an IQ test before they qualify for a mortgage.- For comparison, if you found out an arsonist who is ecpected to re-offend moved in next door to you would you buy fire insurance? Wait, let's say the State Farm guy calls on you in that house, he even smells smoke and still offers you fire insurance. Would you buy? I think the folks in the valley may be relying on Uncle Sam. Don't you?

Dear Pioneer Press:

You have problems with the software. The above posts were supposed to go under the Fargo Flood story. And newspapers can't figure out why they lose money !?!?

The flood fight is not over until the taxpayer stops paying
for stupid NoDak welfare vampires. As long as we pay
it will never be over. These NoDak republicans are bleeding us out.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Cancer

You may not be privy to every little thing that's going on around you, but so what? Crabs can't always be in control, but you don't need to feel insecure, either. Thanks to your electronic devices, you appear to be a little godlike to those who don't have the same access as you do at the moment. Just make sure that you memorise the important stuff in case the system goes down.
