Phelps is full of shat

The Phelps are full of crap. I just watched that pitiful display at the legislature, where she claims to have told everyone from the school administrators to the Mayor and these people failed to act. It is very sad that this young lady took her life, but the Phelps' are using this as a way to get their latest project funded.

The Phelps are doing what it takes to take care of the youth of this parish. They give plenty back to the community. Knowing what I know, it appears that those responsible failed to act, the school officials especially. The Sheriff easily wrote this off as a suicide, there was no investigation by anyone, there are people out there who know what really happened but with no one asking questions they won't come forward. This case is not going to solve itself, there was no autopsy to determine the actual cause of death, you can't just look as someone who is dead with a cord tied around their throat and say, oh, it's just a suicide. There is more to this than meets the eye. Shame on you for saying the ugly things you did.

I agree. It was pitiful. I have no clue how those things work. I only know how to speak my heart. I would have been ridiculous to lie on camara and in such a public place.
If you feel this way, though, others probably do also. Please come visit the studio and let's talk. I am sure you too want what's best for the children. Let's work together to make that happen.
Btw I loved Tesa. It's been a very difficult two days at showcase without her. Your words really hurt. I would rather have my baby girl anyway over any project funding.

I'm saying the things that I said because it is substantiated truth and you are right there are people that know the truth and can't testify unless there is a court case and they are subpoenaed who can tell the exact truth without all this speculation and who do not have a motive. These people will tell you some things that the Phelps' aren't telling. This child's death has been used as a fundraiser and her real story has yet to be told.

Did you know that this child was being treated by psychiatrist since day 1? Did you know that she had been institutionalized on several occasions? and if you and the family knew it was so horrific, why wasn't she transferred to Livonia? There were options. This child had friends at school, was she the prom queen? No, but neither are 100 others. She has been active in activities at school like trips etc. so she wasn't ostracized by any means.

You've made me aware of that previously and I agree an investigation is needed. I can't put the resentment for the arts centre together with the tragedy.

I wouldn't want to even begin to speculate. I believe the centre is a positive and needed asset. Sounds like your problem is not with the centre itself.

1- Yes. I was one of the first notified when she began seeing the paychiatrist. I was also notified all 4 our of the times she was "instutionized." Most important, I was the person she told, among 2 others, that she knew they weren't that great to her at the hospital but it was ten times better than school. We had just discussed the day before that she has 38 days left of school. She could miss 4 for seniOr reasons and 6 if hospitalized.
2- tarsha, her mother, and I discussed on numerous occasions Tesa transferring to Livonia. The rea lity was that 70% of central had transferred to Livonia. Also he tfas that were her safe people to run to wear not at Livonia. Not to mention her 3 chlosest friends.
3- yes "the child" Tesa, did have 4 kids who constantly tried to managed the kids

Mrs. Phelps, no need to explain this to a jealous individual who is trying to derail your progress in this parsih. Your and your associates work with these kids is very important, it's progress, positive progress. You and the others that work with you at the Center for the Arts mean so much to these kids, they have, a place to let go, feel free, to learn at their own pace, someone to mentor them and most importantly someone they can talk to without predjudice. You are good people, your work is good, the things you teach these kids are good, it's all good and positive. Yes, you do need donations to keep going, the public understands that and stands behind you, because you are standing behind our kids. Keep up the good work and love that you and your associates have been giving to the kids who so despirately need it.

Ms Phelps please don't feel you need to justify yourself to this ignorant people. Tesa was bullied. That's a fact and from a recent experience with a child that attends Livonia no one, not the counselor, vice principal or the superintendent wanted to acknowledge bullying was going on. Specifically it was said ONE incident wasn't bullying! These people need to wake up!

How can you be someone that stands behind the kids when you are in all actuality calling them murderers. Has anyone stepped back and thought about what these accusations have done to the kids that attend our schools? Each and every child even those who have not harmed a hair on another child has been classified as a murderer and that's a total lie.

Dis a Bell - I am very saddened to hear that anyone has received the message that I am calling "each and every child" a murderer. I beg you, come by the Centre. I have personally, along with my staff reached out to the children at Tesa's school and more specifically those who have bullied her. MANY are now coming to the Centre and we are able to help them and as Tesa would say, "show them how to love." Just since Tesa's death we've had multiple kids from Central join our CFTA family. I've even gone as far as to help purchase needed household items for one of the people Tesa mentioned as her primary bully.
Please, if you hear a child saying they feel accused or put down, encourage them to come to me and even better, you come with them.
The only way we will squelch rumors and make a safer place for these kids is if we unite and fight in the same direction.
Last- any money raised towards Tesa's place goes 100% to Tesa's Place. Not one penny has or ever will be used to pay me.

Again I'd give it all back to have my baby girl here.

Just re-read my post from last night and I want to say thanks. I had my contacts out and could not see the small words on my phone. I'm surprised anyone could even make out what I was saying with all the grammatical and spelling errors. Lol but seriously I've seen people ripped apart on here for that. Thank you for being kind.

I've been trying to collect my thoughts since last night on how to respond to this topic. First of all, it's extremely hard to not come on this forum and blast someone for what they say about my wife while hidden behind a pseudonym. Hence my delay in responding. Secondly, thank you to those who have come to our defense and spoke with kind words. I appreciate it more than you know.

Now, concerning the comments. Our studio is always open and I invite Dis a Bell to come and hang out with the kids and see why we are so passionate about standing up for the kids in our community. I do not need to expand on anything my wife has already said.

But i have learned this, when we as a people stay silent, nothing happens. We believe the lie that nothing ever changes. As I believe Winston Churchill stated, "Evil wins when good people do nothing". Therefore, I cannot sit back and remain complacent.

Whether its one kid or 100, no one deserves to be treated like they are of less value than someone else.

We will fight injustice. Not because it's good for fundraising, but because it's the right thing to do.

My point was proven earlier when Mrs. Phelps stated in her response that 70% of the kids from Central had transfered to Livonia, which in other words means that this problem is the fault of the kids at Central or there would be no need to make the differentiation.No one wants to admit the entire truth!! Maybe there were kids that she didnt get along with, maybe she wasnt the most popular, but neither was I. At some point in our lives we met people that were'nt so nice to us but the people close to her should atleast tell the entire story without leaving out important parts. You somehow have made the masses who are unaware believe that this incident was 101% related to being bullied and it's not. Just be honest is all I ask and not tell 1/2 the story.

Dis a bell - pls if you know more truth speak up and speak loud. "The masses" deserve to know the whole truth. I also would like to know.

My point in saying that 70% of central moved to Livonia was to say that there was a good chance many of those that bullied her were also at Livonia but she would be unprotected bc the tfas and her close friends would not be there.

Finally, rest assure that this went far beyond her not "being the most popular" or meeting people that "were not nice" to her. This was nearly 4 years of humiliation, teasing and hurt.

I feel that because you are pushing for truth you are probably a good person. I wish you knew how painful your words are to those of us who miss her so very much.

You are right, I am a good person who does care and your words and the words of others who have pushed this is an issue of bullying as if it was the sole cause of this terrible accident have been painful and hurt me as well.Just tell the entire story and not just the parts that people already want to hear, the parts about how horrible we are that we would cause another to take her own life, how we are the outcast children that nobody wants to associate themselves with, how we are a lost cause, and how many of you adults on this very site call us animals because we don't have the money to attend your fancy private schools, even though we are straight A students who make something of ourselves despite where we come from, and despite our surroundings. When will you speak up for us? When will this town stop labeling us, because we are not all the same.I am somebody and i will make something of myself despite what the people of this town think about me or my fellow classmates. Anything that is posted to this site that is negative,someone has to bring up our school. I ask you adults, what have you done to make it better? What have you done? Nothing!!
