Oh "Doyle" (from Doyline? Were your parents that unoriginal, or do you actually believe you're clever?) you're forgetting one thing: They get to leave, but you're still stuck there!

Louisiana is just full of hateful religious rednecks. People can keep telling me how pleasant Shreveport is, but then you have stories like this where gay couples are not treated as equals, followed by outright hatred coming from ignorant pricks like Doyle. No, this is not a place for people who are different. Local residents want them to get out. It's a hostile environment.

I would suggest gay people leave Shreveport because there is a good chance an ignorant hick like Doyle would tie them to the back of a pickup truck and drag them down the road. I have a difficult time living here because I'm an Atheist. I can't imagine how bad gay couples have it here. They don't want special rights. They want to be treated as equals. Benefits like these are indeed things straight people take for granted.

His partner should not live in fear of prejudicial repercussions from Shreveport's judiciary. How ridiculous is that?

Doyle, the Topix troll (R1) that posts under hundreds of unregistered usernames is not from LA. He's a sick, POS that can't keep a registered account.

I wasn't posting to you, Mr. Whack-a-doodle. The troll and anyone who has had to live through his 4 years of lies/drivel knows exactly what I was posting about. Maybe it's time you go stick your nose somewhere else. Now go project on that, you psychotic pest!

No dear, that would be California, and that's a good thing. Maybe Cali could secede from the union and we can let the tooty fruity mafia move there with all the other progressives and they can have their own communist nation.
Nope.

You really don't know much about California, do ya?

Cali is a microcosm of the entire nation. The ONLY thing we don't have here is coal mining. The only kind of people we don't have here is ... well ... we've got every type there is.

So, if you dislike California, you actually dislike the USA.

We've got it all.

Actually, I know several bi women and at least three gay men who have property on Cross Lake. I also know several homophobic rednecks who own property on Cross Lake.

My advice: Keep your boat on another lake because you're bound to find at least one of those pesky gay people you hate so much.

Maybe you should get a place on Caddo instead. Oh wait. The adult swinging group has/had their parties out there when they weren't at the Lagniappe.

Bistineau...Oh wait. That one has gay people on it too.

Can't fish the pond on the base. Barksdale has some gay people serving there.

You're running out of safe water, Doyle.

Oh, Doyle. If you only knew how many gay people we had in this community...Your head would explode from all that pent up homophobia. You wouldn't fish the Mallard Bay area ever again.

(And before you decide to predictably accuse me of being gay, I'm engaged to a very intelligent and sexy woman and yes, we do plan on moving away from this hell hole of a town.)

Your clarity is not at all clear.(FYI, I am reasonably with Shreveport.) I did, in fact, read the article and I did read your idiotic post. Since your post was so aforementionedly (a new word I just make up to ridicule you. Like it?) idiotic (which I deduced from actually reading it, hence my response), it didn't warrant much more than what was in my response. Strike two.

So in other words, your response was purely based on a personal vendetta and because you chose to go that route, talking about the actual article, offering your own viewpoints, was off the table, leaving your post devoid of substance. Your BS detector is still broken. Maybe you should invest in a radar detector instead. Maybe a metal detector?

If you just want to resort to personal jabs here, you are going to be a big freakin waste of time. Post on topic or don't post, eh?
