True kc, but at least he acknowledged the issue - despite his careful use of the word 'lingers' rather than 'is bloody rampant'.(I feel so dirty - I just gave props to the Shrub.)

Oz PM John W Hobbit on the issue of racism in Australia: "I don't accept that there is underlying racism in Australia".

Well that's damn convenient, means you don't have to do anything about it. I should have thought of that tactic years ago.

I'm black, and well, even though it was a shock when Kanye was the first to say it, many allegations of racism followed. I remember my dad and i were watching the katrina victims on CNN and we both thought there was a delayed response cause of the large black community. This was before the kanye thing. Anyhow, Jena, what's you're point about Rice. A political party needs to have have some minorities in it, if they expect to get votes. With her not only being black but also a women, i'm sure her selection was very well calculated.

Look i think thats a great point. Why the heck does everything have to get turned into a racism issue? That is called generalizing and is no way based on actual fact which means a lot of people are swallowing whatever.

You can't blame Bush for that..that was your own community leaders, the Mayor and the Miss Governor. Bush runs the country not New Orleans!

I was so ashame of that. A hurricane is coming and you don't work your plan? But you stand around and wait for the President to do your job? Hello! Bush is not a racism. But the officials are just stupid!

Many false allegations.

Why would Governor Blanco and Mayor Nagin have done that? The first federal response, from the USS BATAAN, came as the storm passed.

How many people don't like the President?
How many white people don like the President
How many Black people don't like the President
How many White people don't like Black people?
How many Black people don't like white people?

We can go on and on about who don't like who. If you want this nation to grow, you all need to look past the color and into the soul. Quit blaming others for your condition, do something positive about it.

No natter what, we are Americans, so start acting like it, do something to make it better, quit whineing.
