Unsolved Killings Rattle Small Town

i'm from tha south and things have changed greatly tha way u can stop crime is to put some lights down that way no one can sneek up on u instead of hiring more law inforcement,that way every down there can see whats going on. crime really take place at night and tha criminals no that don't u think it's like the criminals are smarter the ones that really are holding tha card. The criminals are not smart there just slick,there just sitting back laughing smoking,drinking and plotting on the next murder,Country FOLKS,please wake up before u become next,Remember u r noONE UNTIL SOMEONE kills u,or just leave tha south REAL TALK THERE IZ NOTHING DOWN THERE BUT DEATH DRUGS AND GRANDPARENTS,OH DON'T FORGET ABOUT JAIL ETC.....

i guess there aren't any murders drugs or grandparents up north. when was the last time you were in the south and exactly how extensivly did your journey through the south take you? i would hope that you seriously dont think you are immune to crime b\c you moved. fyi the majority of crimes commited are not in rural areas. know your facts before you start ranting and raving like you are smarter than someone because of your location!

to kaem 4 your information my cousin got murdered down south just last year,4 your information he is one of tha 4 murders that took place,to be exact he was tha first murders,so my facts are straight,plus i have a lot of family down there spread from bogalusa to n.o.,there are murders everywhere i do agree with u,but we are talking about tha dirty south,every oneknows that u can killed quick down there. I know one thing for sure is the 4 murders that was committed at night,tha criminals know that tha game change at night,and trust me, its real easy to kill someone at night because of tha darkness,plus tell me how many police cars do u see in one week,if tha police isn't called,go fiqure. for your information it gets dark everywhere and that is the most likely time a killer will strike any time. and for your information my father in law and brother in law are on the fpd. i will give that there arent that many police out b\c the state wont give anymore funding for more than the patrol on a shift. no you cant get killed wucik down here, yes there are four unsolved and i am sorry your cousin is one, but 4 in a year and half is not as bad as in the city. maybe you harbor resentment b\c it is your cousin, but for you to assume that only stupid people stay here and have no clue as to what is going on around them is out of line. you dont know me, i was raised "country folk" as you so elegantly put it. but i can keep up with the world just as quick as you. for your information milwalkee has more crime in that city than franklinton does in that small town. the problem i have is that you are on here like you know more because you moved and b\c we choose to stay here and raise our family, we are stupid. people live here b\c they have lives here. you think people dont know more crime occurs at night, you think we dont lock our doors or watch our children. do you live your door unlocked in wi? do you go walking around the streets by youself at night? your comments aren't helpful to anyone. instead they are rude and very degrating. you arent better or smarter than me because you dont live here. you only know what your told. you dont see anything. and it is more likely that bad things are talked more than good, because good is expected and noone thinks anything of that. but the bad stands out in peoples minds. franklinton, la to milwalkee, wi and everywhere in between.

please understand what i am truly saying is that since hurricaine Katrina some people have lost there mind,house,family members,there mind isn't right for whatever tha reason is.I not saying my decision making is better than yours and anybody else,but i can cleary reconized a problem, and living down there at this time is not a good look. Alot of tha problems is of tha population has doubled since tha hurricane,population has really grown,and so has tha bullshit,IT WILL GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER SO STRAP UP YOUR BOOTS IT WILL A LONG WALK/WATCH WISH PRAY AND LEARN BECAUSE I TRULEY BELIEVE THA CRIMINALS WILL GET AWAY BECAUSE NOBODY WANTS TO GET INVOLED,PLUS BLACK ON BLACK CRIME, IZ NOT REALLY IMPORTANT DON'T FORGET 4 MURDERS AND THEY DON'T KNOW SHIT OR THEY DON'T GIVE A SHIT/ IT REALLY DEPENDS ON WHOM GETS KILLED/THA RACE AND FAMILY HISTORY

i understand what you are saying. i have been here and seen it. but basically, it's nit what you say, it's how you say it. using refernces like "country folk" and "dirty south" among the way you worded your comments, is not going to get anyone's positive attention. it comes off as we are degenerates in your eyes. besides overall washington parish isnt that bad a place to leave. a few people have gone over the edge, but it is still an ok place. there are alot of people working hard to bring it back and sometimes they take 2 steps forward and 1 step back. things are slowly but surely improving. peole are trying, but there will always be crackheads, and thieves and poeple that have no respect or regard for others. buts that's everywhere.

Of the 4 murders in Franklinton, 2 were black and 2 were white--You can't say it was "black on black" crime and that is the reason for the crimes being unsolved. The days of the "small country town" atmosphere and the days when residents left their doors unlocked are in the past. My dad was the police chief of a small town for many years, and when a crime occurred he knew everyone in town so well, he would say, "Now that looks like something so-in-so would do--I think we better talk to him.' Those days have changed as the ppopulation has become more mobile, and there is very little difference between "big city crime, and small town crime" anymore.
