I agree, I have sympathy for someone in the situation you described. You are right, it wasn't there fault in that case....however, no one goes to a doctor to get shot up with heroin and gets hooked on accident. This is what I was referring to.

I totally agree with you....Heroin is a totally diffeent story....but.....all addicts get grouped together in the same group....drugs don't have a preference they will get anyone they can....I think we need alot more education about drugs and what they do, and what can help...I think the Suboxone programs (the little that we have) are a great choice for someone who is "serious" about getting clean....I don't agree with Methadone clinics though...that is just another drug to get hooked on once again...I wish our politicians would spend some money on drug education and get people the help they need, if they are addicts put them in a lock down treatment facility, not a prison where the drugs are worse than they are on the street...

drugs are big problem everywhere not just athens , and just like murders , gang violience & robberies ..... its only gonna get bigger , with heroin becoming drug of choice now because its so cheap now , theres only gonna be more addicts & dealers , where i live im surrounded by addicts & dealers they do drug sweeps & few weeks later they back on street doing it again . and it has nothing to do with politics ! its just LIFE thats way it is !

Don't blame the sheriff for not doing their job my goodness They can't be bothered to hunt down the drug traffickers and the drug abusers. Good grief it takes all their time to get coffee and donuts. Actually a lot of these "drug abusers" are self medicating. The area is so dismal and they have no future there so they just get high to forget they have no health care, jobs, social life, poor housing an so on. I used to go to the VFW in Jacksonville and thats all it was old drunks and druggies in there getting their fixes for the day be it booze or drugs its all the same. I went to socialize and maybe have one or two drinks but it was terrible.

the world has too many people.....overpopulation is the major cause of global warming.....drug overdose which usually involves welfare recipients and miggers should be encouraged....a great way to diminish the welfare roles......UNFORTUNATELY THE DEMOCRATS KNOW THAT DRUGGIES VOTE DEMOCRAT AND THAT DRUGGIES CAN BE REGISTERED TO VOTE AS WELL AS PAID TO VOTE......SO SOCIETY MUST ATTEMPT TO SALVAGE DRUGGIES RATHER THAT ENCOUGAREING OVERDOSES.......and ordinary law abideing people get to pay for this rehab.....athens also has too many liberal kiddies going to school on parents $....these kiddies love sex on a high from drugs....actually a fatal overdose would be good riddance in their case......but unfortunately they are DUMMYCRATS so we also pay to rehad them...encourage overdose....maybe some of the law people should just distribute the drugs free around new marshfield.......then with free drugs crime might go down and lots of undesirables might die off......give em a mass grave and a no cost funeral....and save on welfare

you are so right about drugs being everywhere, I was bornd and raised in Athens,but have lived In Ky. for about 35 years in a small toun of about 4000 people or so, and I think half of them are on drugs.... I havent been to Athens in a long time, but I still love the town. God Bless Athens!
