Project Graduation

Well if that wasn't a bunch of bull shit. If your parent wasn't there you didn't win anything. I've never met such selfish parents like the ones who gave Barry a different cup to draw their kids names out of. WOW!!!! This was more than likely the worst Proj. Grad. parents have ever done. All the other prevoius grad's. loved theirs, but this was the biggest waste of time for me cause my parent wasn't there so of course I didn't win anything. Then it really sucks if your on a losing team on every game that was played. I don't understand how parents could be so selfish to where only their kids can have the best stuff. Of course it wasnt all the parents. There was maybe two whos kid didnt win a Wii or a TV. They know who they are. Their kids prolly didn't win cause they don't kiss ass like the other parents. Well this is one part of my graduation I will never forget. Being cheated out of a chance to win something really kewl. And you stupid excuses for parents are the reason. Your kids will never be something great if you keep giving them anything and everything they want. But it isn't their fault. It's your's you pathetic parents.

hmmm, I had a graduate their and I was not and he won things. Must just be your a grumpy person. Mine said that he enjoyed project graduation and he did win things. Not everyone can win a tv or a wii maybe you are just a little jealous. Sorry that you had such a bad time and it will be sad to know that you will hold a grudge for the rest of your life. You know good sportsmanship goes right along with becoming an adult. Life is not always fair, but it is what you make of it. Hope you make the best out of your life not just going around feeling that someone owes you something and that you will always hold a grudge against whoever or whaterver treated you as you say "unfairly".

I'm very jealous because.... the people that won were all rich enough to go buy all the things they won, or maybe cause they win everything. I just thought it would be nice to win something for once, but know that wouldn't even happen because half the students there's name wasn't in the cup when they were drawing for the big prizes. It was their kids only Ohh yeah and D'Adrian. I don't think his mom was there.

ohh yeah and I'm not going to hold a grudge. I'm not like that. I just wanted to vent some of my anger. And I know Im not the only one who was a little upset that the drawings where obviously rigged.

I have raised them to have respect for themselves as well as others, I have raised them to know right from wrong, but when they leave your home you can only hope that they will mature into doing what you have taught them. Therefore you should talk about no one elses children, because it just might come back and bite you in the butt.

Excuse me but the drinking and driving part is for all of us to worry about as we have children and many loved ones on the streets everyday. It is my problem, it is your problem, it is a problem that belongs to all of us.

did the prize list get broken up that way? I hope this is not a practice that will continue after this project graduation. In the past, we never did this. All of the kids were treated equally and had the same chance to win a big price as the next person. I remember we had a couple of parents that tried to set up something like that but we vetoed it as it was not fair and that is not a legacy we wished to leave with these kids. That is a big shame if it is happening now.

Every parent had a chance to help, but like everything else, only a some parents ever help. I cannot imagine the parent you are speaking of rigging anything. For the parents who once again did not help you missed your chance, they've graduated now.

A big thanks to everyone that donated and those who particpated in helping the Class of 2008 to have a Project Graduation event. This was made possible not by just the parents but by the kids and the public and many businesses. Hopefully this event will continue and will be better every year. Good Job!!!!!

I think your statement is very nice. I would add to the: Don't judge others until you have walked in their shoes because sometimes they may be filled with stones that only they must bear and remember to treat everyone like you would like to be treated, not better but equal.

I have heard the same about the prizes, from some of the students. they were not happy on how it was done, they said some of the rich kids took more than one prize at a time. the parents did rig it. I know M.D. & C.W. childern did not get much of anything and they were there, but they didn't have anything to do with the prize drawing. M.D. worked harder than any parent there. It's a shame how adults act in front of their childern.

That is really sad. I guess at this point we can only hope the parents of the 2009 graduating class make note of this and don't do the same thing.
