Terry Stevens vs. Anthony Young

I just want to say as an NMCC-Employee that Terry Stevens did in "demanding" Anthony Young's commision was a "LOW LIFE" tactic that was part of the -old school- way of doing things. Pretty LOW!!! Anthony is/was nothing short of a miracle of NMCC-R1 School Systems. He is always there helping out ANYBODY that needs him. His children and others in our building are a BLESSING that people are always there willing to HELP our great school system at all times. I would think that someone in "greater power" would NOT disrupt that no matter WHAT!!!! GOD Bless Anthony and all that he does for our KIDS!!!

I like Anthony and what he does at the schools. I remember him fondly visting the High School. Of course, I was a snot nose smart ass kid, so of course I gave him a hard time whenever the chance came to me. He even pulled my friends and I over in the parking lot for smoking. He did his part, he tried to enforce the rules upon us rebalious teens and I give him credit for that.

He's needed at those schools. Believe it or not, even though most high school kids don't take him seriously, he can scare the piss out of us by just being there. Terry Stevens can't even compare to that.

For Terry to do such a thing, is as you said, LOW. But this coming from me, Allen C, I would never have put it past him because he is just that, Low.

So to Terry, I say shove it. And I hope Anthony get the last laugh on this.

Anthony is wondeful at the school. He is always there to help when needed and is always there being a good influence on our students. I am so proud to be working at NMCC and glad Anthony is there. Our district can feel safe with him there and he cares. Really cares about our students and is a wonderful role model for our students as well. Anthony - thanks for all you do! God bless you and your wonderful family.

Yeah..about that 'majority' thing. 52 extra people isn't much of a majority. Secondly, I don't honestly feel that the so-called "majority" of those people would have approved of his attempted actions.

i think a lot of people did not vote most thought young did not have a chance

In risco you have to choose the democrat ticket to even get to vote for sheriff. And I know several people thougt that anthony didnt have a chance for one thing terry has a HUGE family and several people were more concerned about the race for governor on the republican ticket. Which by the way I think having to choose a ticket is stupid because you dont get to vote for everything.

I do not believe for a second that Terry did anything wrong to Anthony. What was he suppose to have done?

All Terry had to do was win, and enjoy it. Nothing more. He didn't have to go and try to get Anthony fired. That's cold. Terry won the electon, did he have a reason to be afraid of Anthony after that point? No. But he was bitter and scared that he almost lost the electon and decided that he had to put a stop to it. Even though, he had already won.

That's the problem with Terry. He was a bitter winner. What was Anthony going to do to Terry anyways since he didn't win the electon? Anthony lost and couldn't do anything to Terry, so there was no need for Terry to do such a thing.

He's just disappointed cause he only won by 52 votes and that someone in his dept. ran against him. But I just heard that Terry can't take anything from Anthony and that Anthony will not be losing his job. Also even though I'm not looking forward to the next 4 years. I will be looking forward to the next election.

If some of the republicans would have got to vote for sheriff anthony would have won!

not so sure about how well he has served this county. But SHAME on Terry for what he has done to Anthony and anyone who can't see that is an idiot. But you do reap and sow.

Shame on me for telling it how it is. Shame on me for trying to help the people of New Madrid wise up the twisted shadow behind Terry Stevens. Shame shame shame on me for not voting for Terry and leting him attemp his childish payback on someone who just wanted an equal chance to show they had same qualities to be such a "Welling Serving" Sheriff. The election is over

Unfortunately the election is over and the outcome wasn't great, but this isn't about the election, it is about the very foul actions our current sheriff has been imposing since the election has ended.

This is just my opinion and I am sure I will hear about it. I believe Terry has done a great job for the county. I do not believe for one second he did anything wrong to Anthony. Anthony knew from the start what he was up against. Why should Terry keep any one around who bad mouthed him. Terry is a good man, and you people need to stop bashing him. Before you start, I am not a family member.
