Review: Mooers Realty

I gave 1 star b/c the optuion of zero was not availlable. Andy Mooers is a fast talking dishonest con-man who will say anything to get you to look at property then come to find out he hasn't a true clue about the property of even how to find it!! My husband and I drove 450 miles/7hrs to look at a property. Mr Mooers said he couldn't meet us because his son had a hockey game on a Suinday morning but assured us the property was easily accessible as well as clearly marked ( I have his emails). After a long excrutiating snow shoe walk in 4 ft of snow we found no signs or markers as he had promissed. When we called for help THEN he said the markers were under the snow and we were to blame for looking at the land in winter. We only drove so far on his word that there was easy access and clear markings. He refused to meet us or to even come to his office. He made no effort to make it right and in fact blamed us and the snowmobhilers for his lack of integrity BUYER BEWARE OF LIARS

That place isn't the only one. There are offices in Aroostook county that are still selling 'spaghetti strips' ( picture a 20 acre lot that is about 30' wide, with a potato field on either side of it going back to amount to 20 ac.), even though that is illegal. I was duped into buying a 23 acre piece of property 20-some odd years ago without realizing that there was no access to it at the time. the realtor and the liar were in cahoots. I only realized this recently as I was off serving my country in the Navy and had not been up to do any thing with it. Anyway, I and my family of six cannot get onto the property because ME really doesn't care.
