I know this family. I had no idea they were into anything like this. When I saw that beautiful little boy on the local news I cried and cried. My son has played with that child. He was just at my child's b-day party. They are not horrible people, but what they were doing is horrible. We all should pray for there children tonight and hope that they can rise above this awful experience. And pray that this not be the legacy that child carrys with him through-out life. Kudos to whomever tiped the police, it's not always easy to do the right thing. But we all know that the drugs would have been running rampid in our town. Enough is enough. I hope the best for this family and their recovery from this ordeal.

It appears that these folks were just performing a business transaction for some quick money. I wonder if this was a one time deal for them. Unfortunately, they got caught doing something illegal. Hopefully, the court system will not be to harsh on them, especially since they have a young child. In my opinion there are worse crimes then transporting drugs.

Well Sharon, I see that yours is the simplistic view. Unfortunately the destruction that drugs wreak upon our communities, schools and family structure goes far beyond the nice little "business transaction" that these "nice folks" were conducting. So lets see.... that business transaction brings about.... an eighteen year old jamming a needle into his arm to forget about his problems? A mother with three kids pacing about the house a 3 a.m. wondering if her husband has blown his paycheck on crack again? A 15 year old being pressured to try something "new" by her peers? A person onder the influence of drugs crossing over into YOUR lane while speeding on route one? Killing your loved one seated next to you, leaving you paralyzed from the neck down.... yes, I suppose that business tranaction those nice folks were performing was just fine wasn't it? It was all worth it..... right?

They should be proscuted to the fullest extent of the law plus some some. I know there is a kid involved but think about it, if the kid stays with them what future is he going to have. He would probably be on the stuff before age 14. And for someone to call this a business transaction is just STUPID.

When you get rid of the CIA, you will get rid of 90% of the drugs! Just ask Bill Clinton and George Bush Sr.

Ken,
You mention the CIA and its involvement in the drug problem. You end by saying, just ask Bill Clinton and George Bush Sr.
Didn't one of these guys start NAFTA and the other signed it ? We should trust what they say?
What are they putting in the water down there in North Haverhill?

What everyone has failed to realize is that these great people, whoever they are, are transporting drugs to YOUR COMMUNITY!!!! Out of their own and into Aroostook County... Economics is simply the law of supply and demand.... It saddens me that some people (OK - Sharon) thinks that this is a simple transaction. It is many transactions, potentially one to your loved one, or soemone you care about. Don't keep your head in the dark and HOPE this will go away... It only does if YOU make it!
