Driving by Rt. 30 and looking at the massive trucks bulldozing that useless plot of earth makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. New Lenox finally has progressive polititians to bring business into this sleepy town. I believe next on their list should be to demolish the Ace shopping center, the bowling alley on Laraway Rd, the old Berys, and every little mom and pop store along Rt. 30! Its time to remove the eye soars of this cacoon of a town and bring progress and job producing businesses here. By the way, the widening of Cedar rd. was about 10 feet short on both sides! Lets open this town up, and say goodbye to the farmers!!!!!!

I do get warm and fuzzy seeing lot of development.
I agreed until your sarcasm showed through.
As for cedar road, I've actually changed my opinion on that. What's more important? right turn lanes or left turn lanes? My answer is LEFT. The center median will solve most of the problems.
What makes me cranky is why it isn't straight between illinois and francis

Yes bring all the business to New Lenox and let Manhattan stay "country". I suggest all those who are complaining to move immediately. I'll buy your house for half of what ya paid for it!

Be careful about that glass house you're in. Now let's get back to the issue at hand.

Village and Township and County Officials: I know you all read this so listen, please! PLEASE, PLEASE make Parker road (at Francis) a two laner with a turn lane! People pull SO far forward on Francis to see past the big pile of dirt on the west side of the road that people trying to turn left on Parker off of Francis have a hard time! LOTS of accidents there. Iknow, I was one! With the addition of 355, Route 6 is JAMMED with traffic at the stop signs. Sometimes 50-60 cars long. Well, many of them turn South on Parker. What a mess!

Just so you know, That intersection has nothing to do with the village. I would suggest if it is such a problem, you don't waste your time posting here, but actually contact ypur county board member, who might actually be able to do something about it.

What about Gouger and route 30? Why can't they make a right turn lane on Gouger turning east onto 30? They have the curb jutting out, just as you approach the intersection. Brilliant!

Cause the friggin board is giving all of the money back to the residents in the tax thing. Lower it to 10% and put the rest into roads. Put people to work. Forget this Republican way of thinking. Less government, less taxes. SPEND SPEND SPEND. Get the wheels moving again. Vote all the incumbs OUT.

And to stupid to hold public office. I hope you get DUI resolved so you can get your wheels moving again right out town and don't come back.

The Walmart will be the biggest white elephant in the history of New Lenox. It will open just in time to close. Who is buying ANYTHING right now or in the future. You better hoard your shrinking dollar, there are very bad times ahead. I think building a Walmart on that piece of land with no improvements on 30 is a big mistake. Sometimes progress for the sake of progress is not progress, it is wasteful. That is what this is. Kmart not good enough for our residents? I guess not. We need more Chinese manufactured goods pumped into our already overstuffed homes. Has anyone ever walked down their street and seen in the garages around town. Chock FULL of junk. They bought it at Walmart. This attitude of shop till you drop has to end. Before we as a nation cease to exist.
