What a coincidence. We too have 4 children, 2 boys, 2 girls and presently 6 grandkids, 4 boys and 2 girls. What are the odds? Stranger things have happened. I worked with a guy that I found out we played football against each other in high school. We were born on the same day,his wife and mine were born one day apart and we were married on the same day. Spooky...
I hope everything goes well with mom-in-law.
Now, that's what I refer to as a divine appointment. Our 6 grandchildren: 3 boys & 3 girls...all under age 5. Isaac turns 5 on 20 May. God has a great sense of humor, I think anyway:)

Nice that they are so close in age. Lots of playing together growing up.
The ages of ours is between 17 years and 3 months. I think we're done having grandkids now. There's an outside chance for maybe one more.
I hope all goes well with the operation today.

Mom's surgery went well. Today, though, she's upset because her vision is blurry. We met w/ the surgeon this afternoon; her eye is slightly swollen. That's to be expected, he said. Well, she's not too pleased w/ that info, let me tell ya. Ohhhh, well. Time for afternoon naps all around. Family will bring supper. That will help to cheer her up :)
As for our grandchildren...ohhhh, do they enjoy each other's company! A hootin' and a hollerin' the whole time they're together. I'm so grateful to God that all of our children are still in the area.

Isn't those kids playing and even fighting, music to your ears? Ya gotta love them. My grandkids ages are Boy-17, girl-15, boy-15,boy-12, girl-9 and boy-3 months and a week. My kids are pretty spread out too. One in Port Huron, Mich. one in Milwaukee one here in New Mexico and one in Moon Township, near the airport. We live near Ford City on the Allegheny north of Pgh.
My son that lives in Moon is an MD.in radiology. He mostly works out of the Sharon Hospital but is active in several hospitals around Pgh. You guys may have rubbed elbows with him recently. Nah. not a chance.
Things hopefully will get better for your family now that mom-in law is healing.

I have a lot of memories going camping when my kids were small. We really roughed it a few times in a big tent and rain for several days.
I pulled a trailer to British Columbia and Seattle through Canada with all 4 kids and my mother to visit my brother in Wash. That was an adventure that we all still joke about.
Hows mom doing?? Are the shingles under control, swelling going away???
You have your hands full but keep the faith.

Ohhhh, plenty of camping memories & plenty to talk & laugh about!
Shingles: Mom gets what she refers to as a twinge of pain in & around the neck/head/shoulder areas. She just shrugs it off as age.
Went to her eye MD this afternoon. He patiently explained what was done; why it was done, etc. This dear woman made herself physically ill over this. Her mind was put to rest by this eye MD taking the time to talk w/ her and not at her. Big difference.
