"I was there too - it was truly horrible. I tried to find an update on his condition until late last night. I checked Wikipedia this morning - they list his date of death as 10/23/09. You must be singing in heaven now Phil. Bless you!

Mr. Perry is alive and doing well at Yale Hospital. He is going through tests, fussing with the doctors, and talking on his cell phone.

I am SO happy to hear that he is alive! My prayers are with Phil for a full and speedy recovery.

Thank God for the power of prayer. I too was at the show and was deeply sadden to see Phil so suddenly collapse. Thank you Lillian for the update.

I thank God for all the love and prayers showered on Phil Perry last night at Southern Connecticut's Lyman Auditorium. As frightening as it was to experience,it was heart warming to be in the midst of so many caring people.
God works in mysterious ways. Last night all of our vulnerability was brought to the fore.
May Phil, his family and all of his fellow musicians be blest and given the strength to support each other through this crisis.
Phil, I hope for a speedy recovery.

Thanks be to God!!! Thanks so much for the update, Mrs Perry. If anyone would know, it would be you. We were quite shaken to witness his collapse last night.
What a truly beautiful voice Phil has and we hope he can return sometime soon to our area for some unfinished business. I think the power of prayer really helped in the Phil being with us today. And some truly quick work by medical people at the event.

I was at the concert too last night and need to correct the report that channel 8 gave. He was not talking or singing about his ex wife before he collapsed on the floor. It was correct that we thought is was part of the show since he was being silly at times. Thank god that there were people in the crowd that knew how to help him. I can't believe people would say he died last night that is untrue. I never heard him sing before till last night and he was wonderful. Thank god he is alive and pray for a speedy recovery

Thank goodness that Phil is recovering. My hope is that he will get back to his family and have a complete recovery.
I was there and the whole scene was surreal. Lill, make him sit home amongst the orange groves for a few before he heads back out on the road. We'd rather see him infrequently than not a all.

How nice to see an informed, accurate report regarding Mr. Perry's condition. I was at the concert on Friday evening. It was a disturbing scene. He was planning on going to West Hartford, CT after his performance to see friends who were performing at a restaurant there (they so informed me when WE arrived). I pray that he will recover and be able to perform again one day.

I am so relieved that Mr. Perry is alright. I was looking forward to seeing him in Norfolk on October 31st. Mr. Perry, you have been blessed so please take the time you need to be at the top. Your true fans will wait as long as it takes for you to return. Mrs. Perry, my indian sister, stay strong and grounded as you always are. Mr.Perry gave you much praise when he was here in Richmond. My prayers are with you and Mr. Perry. Behave Phil and listen to the doctors and most of all Lillian. Please keep us posted and thank you for the information.
