I went on the interview in Brandford CT where they told me they are relocating to NY next week. The I asked about the job position and asked what exactly the "enty level" position was and got no answers.. He kept saying they use direct marketing and nothing else, I then questioned him on other aspects of the job and got no answers. I took my resume and job application from his desk and walked out. Dont put your social security number on anything. I didnt trust any of it.

I had an interview with a company just like this in Seattle. The bring you in tell you that everybody starts "entry level" and then you basically stuff envelopes with stupid offers. There are thousands of companies like this and one should know that "direct marketing" is a fancy word for handing out crap. I sent my resume to them on a Sunday night and got a reply back from HR immediately stating that they had reviewed my resume and that they wanted to interview me. I'm good but not that good. I give ASL a thumbs down, and to all others like them...shame on you.

Sounds like it's not the best job, but nothing on here indicates that it's a scam or anything. Does anyone know anything about the pay? Is it hourly wages or pay based on achieving unrealistic objectives? I mean, in this job market I'm ok with a crappy job, at least it's a job. I'm not ok with getting taken for a ride. Anyone ever actually work there?

I did an internship with ASL over the summer. Wasn't a scam. They work with some cool clients. I worked hard, made a lot of money, and met some cool people.

I still work With ASL in NY and they just signed 2 multi Million dollar clients which they sell leads to. They also do ticket packages with the NJ nets. I have made a bunch of money and friends and Im on my way to a managerial level. I guess the ppl above are pretty closed minded and must have great jobs if they have time to bash a company online. I was just flown to Orlando for an all expense paid trip for a conference. If you consider this a scam or a shitty job well then im all about scams and shitty jobs. If anyone has any questions just call the office in NY. The owner is a great guy who is admirable and works very hard for his employees. I enjoy working here and have had no complaints.

I Interviewed for this company and i took the position. It is not a pyramid scheme. I have actually been there for two months now and i am having a great time. The office is great the people that work there are cool and i have learned a lot about sales and marketing. I do not know if i am going to stay there forever however in a tough economy it is great money and a great opportunity.

I was there today... as soon I walked in the door I smelled something fishy. I have been working in advertising for a long time and I know what an office is supposed to look like. When I was in college I did a week's work at one of these places.... So, I knew the place was sketchy. They are located in Elmsford, NY now.... I wish I would have found some of the sites talking about ASL Marketing Group in the first place.... Very sketchy!!!!

I interviewed there last week in Elmsford. I went out to a retail campaign and then began work this week. Im not sure why ppl have a problem with ASL. I really enjoy the atmosphere and the diversity in the office. The owner is a good guy and has taught me a bunch of sales and marketing strategies. The guy who is my leader has been there for 3 months and makes good money and i hope to make the same in months to follow. I think the ppl who write poorly about the company are idiots and probally are still looking for jobs

Hmm...ASL Marketing. A friend of mine worked there for a while and told me all about it. I work for a marketing company myself so we did a lot of comparing and what she told me was absolutely crazy. Here is a list of things and you can be the judge. 1) The hours are crazy, for the week you work a total of 72 hours. That would be OK if you got paid for them. I will explain. 2) She told me she got paid commission. 35 dollars for every person she got to sign up for an estimate on cabinet refacing, she said she would get on average 22 in a week that's 770 dollars which seems like a lot of money but keep in mind you are walking around Home Depot for 72 hours that breaks down to about 11 dollars an hour. The catch is there were a lot of ppl that had only 10-15 in a week so you do the math. 3)She worked on the "retail" campaign, but she told me they also had another one. Home Improvement on this campaign the employees would go door to door until 8 at night no matter what kind of weather, again signing people up for "free estimates" from various companies. She told me on this campaign the average amount of leads was 15 a week, and that was high. Look i can go on and on these are just a few things I know the job market is terrible now i just don't want anyone to give up a legitimate opportunity for this shady company.

Well I am glad I came across this site before I decided to waste my time with them. I sent them my resume around 7 pm and they sent me an email within 5 minutes saying they loved what they saw and would love to set up an interview with me. Now either HR there has nothing to do and just happened to read me resume once it came in or they have an automatic response system. My resuame is good but 5 minutes to send me a email wanting to set an interview.....come on. Sorry for the people who had to waste their time with them but, thanks for saving me time.

i really appreciate the people like those who commented here, and i thank you all very much for saving me the time and trouble that i would have wasted in even just calling the number they sent in their "response" email. ugh! i am so sick of these bs schemes; usually i can see immediately which emails to delete, but this one seemed like it might be legit. i have gotten so many of these scam emails--and they're coming thick and fast now, even more than ever, and, worse, these creeps are preying on a great many people who may be desperate for a job, that i have finally come to find them as simply hateful.

Wow that ironic. I worked here for 6months now and im now in a position to open my own office in Connecticut. Hmmmmm work my ass off for 6 months and then get an opportunity to run my own market...sounds terrible. the ppl who write negatively on these blogs either suck at selling, have no confidence in their own abilities, or have no jobs so they bash ppl that are currently working. WE WORK LONG HOURS!!! if you cant work them then no problem we don't want you in our business anyway. If you own and run a business you will realize its a lot of time and effort for the huge rewards. If your curious about the inside of our company come in and meet everyone. if you want to be a neg ball then cool but dont bring down the solution oriented ppl with you.
