I hope the victim wins this case. Connecticut gets millions & millions of u.s. tax dollars for environmental projects such as cleaning up weeds along Long Island Sound. In this case the state was clearly negligent. As for her employer, her actions were criminal in that she was drugged the monkey and called in the victim to take care of this wild animal for her. Throw the book at the state of Connecticut !!!

Well I think the state should be held a little bit responsible but, not to the tune of 150 million. I can honestly say if a friend of mine asked me to help them "lure" the Chimp back in the house I would not have. She needs to be a bit responsible and the homeowner/chimpowner should pay dearly! The poor woman though, I can't imagine the horror, my god.

to anyone in CT who thinks she deserves $150M from the state, ask yourself why YOU should be paying her $50 out of YOUR pocket for being dumb enough to try and help her friend catch a chimp.CT has a population around 3 million people, so keep in mind she is saying every person in CT owes her $50 each for HER stupidity. Yeah, I feel sorry for her, but it certainly is not my fault she tried to corral this animal instead of calling the authorities to take care of it.

Although I feel badly for the victim, I agree with you. The chimp owner and the victim are equally at fault. However, I also feel the state should've intervened in 2003 when the chimp got loose.$150 million dollars for others' stupidity is pretty hard pill to swallow.

You owe her the $50.00 each. The state should have taken action on this issue and not wait. The state mandates many things to keep people safe, they have taken on this responsibility and we pay for that so they have to do a reasonable job, this was not reasonable on the states part and now everyone should pay. It's the same here in MA with pit bulls that are overrunning the cities, the state and cities should pay for any lawsuit regarding pit bull attacks as they sit back and do nothing, yes that would be $50.00 out of my pocket and I did nothing wrong.
