New Hartford American Legion

What is going on there,I was in there a few days ago after a hard days work for a few beers and was told i couldnt stay because i had a tank top on
To whom it may concern I wasnt wearing a coat and tie when I was fighting for this country. And I cant have a beer, shame on you guys.This place is no longer a place where veterans are welcomed the New Hartford American legion is now the New Hartford social stadus club. SHAME ON THEM !!!!!!

When im eating my $7 meatloaf dinner, or fancy fish fry or tuesday night members only meal. I don't care to see someone walking around in a nasty tank top. If you want to wear it in your yard when you are mowing the lawn, or wear it in bed when with that special someone its fine. There is food and fine alcoholic beverages in this establishment. I don't go out in public with my boxers. I guess maybe out in western new york where rochester is, its not as classy as the new Hartford/utica area. But when you come east here, the general rules are wear a shirt, wear shoes, and do not bring your dog in, unless its a work dog.

get over it "upset", it is not a towny bar - it is the American Legion....I cant imagine them just letting ppl stroll in looking nasty. I have never been in a legion that has allowed ppl to just walk in looking like they just got out from under a car!

Saw this guy "Jimi James" last night at the legion and he was phenomenal- he played a wide variety of music (acoustic-something for everyone), did requests, and had the dance floor packed almost every song he played. I hope they have him back on a regular basis- do yourself a favor, and stop by and check him out when you see that he is playing there-
