We're clueless because we will not allow and support a revenue increase when substantial cuts haven't been made? I propose start slashing the principals salary to that equal of its highest paid teacher. Work hourly staff less hours. It's obvious that our school board is a bunch of democrats... I am voting no.

Are you kidding me? Your tell me that the principal should have their salary cut? So if you better yourself at your job. Supposing you even have one. That you shouldn't get paid more? That is just crazy thinking. This is America where if you work hard and prove yourself you should be rewarded.

Karma loves negative people? I'm negative because I'm in a country that I'm entitled to vote for something that a majority will decide whether it's best for our community. You all don't understand. I'm entitled to my vote and we will see who has majority...and then whose clueless. Green schools will go on with or without this levy. We will just decide if it's going to be on our expense and at that I decide NO.

I'm going to support the levy. I have a nice home and it still won't cost me more than 55€ a day. A little over $200 dollars a year. I graduated from Green and so did my Children. I may not agree with every decision they make but i do my job and they do theirs I can't imagine there not being a Green Twp school system. I have had a successful professional career. I think it is not the teachers or the school system as it is the student themselves. If you want to learn bad enough you will. It helps to have supportive encouraging and positive parents. Go Bobcats.

If you don't own property you should not be allowed to vote on any kind of Tax Levy. It is our hard earned $$$ to spend. I don't tell you how to spend your Welfare check! If this levy passes it will be because of the Welfellers they dont have to worry about paying there tax unless it is on Smokes or Alcohol! That tax is OK then huh?

If that last entry was directed to me you are nuts. I'd wager that half the people that live here are not on public assistance and if they were they would not be likely to vote. The slum lords will have to pay the taxes on those houses and trailers and I doubt that would be much. Maybe you are one of them? Or one who invest in property to hide his vast questionable income? You obviously don't care for the education of children. Without an education they will become a next generation welfare reciepant.

Vote yes, it's not our kids fault the State of Ohio has mucked up educational funding so bad.

Case in point, new schools for New Boston and Clay, one new school and merge, or no new schools and keep both.

people need to go to the board meetings. they do not now what the people want if you don't show up and voice your oppinion. they can only due what they think is best in ther eyes. show up to the meeting and bring up your concerns. there is no doubt there is waste in our district. whoever is over the janitors and maintenance needs to do a better job on prioritizing there work. make the people do there jobs. too many people standing around watching a game instead ow doing ther job. i mean at all events. baseball, football and basketball. not only at sporting events but at the school in general. trash cans overflowing, leaks in restrooms that have been ther for at least 2 years. get out of your office and check mon your employees, you need to be held accountable too. clean up the waste and the levy will stand a better chance of passing. i will vote yes if i see some effort to sope the waste.

Here again, if it was only a 2 or maybe even a 3 mill levy, yes maybe some of us would have thought positive about it, 7 Mills? No Way !
I dont live in one of the $25,000 houses they keep referring too, my house was valued at $169,000 and think what it would raise my taxes too on a fixed pension and thats "Retirement" no SSI or Welfare or any kinda disablement benefits either. Choosing less groceries and or medication "The legal kind", i worked and payed in all my taxes, payed every penny for my home, i cant swing no more, then on top we had a few people telling us whats was going on down there inside thats not right? Its lookin dim folks.
Iam sorry, but its still a NO vote from here.

Everyone also needs to keep in mind that if something does happen to the school your property value is going to decrease. Schools are always a good selling point. We have one now that is rated excellent.. We all need to think about that. Good schools, and the most industry anywhere in Scioto county. Anyone moving into this area should be looking here first.

I agree, we have all the ingredients to make the nicest cake in the world, but when we are using Salt instead of Flour and its leaving a bad taste in some people mouths. Its ashame the industry gets by without paying no tax and yet they expect the working people of the town to make up for it, i think we should spend more time Lobbing in Columbus to fix the solution.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aries

Take care today Aries, because the emotional landscape in your neighborhood will be full of pitfalls during the coming fortnight, as it has been since the Solar Eclipse on May 20. The more convinced you are that you're right, the harder it will be to navigate your way around forthcoming events. If you feel resentful of someone, perhaps a neighbor or sibling, you need to get your feelings out in the open, rather than burying them deeper, where they'll fester and lead to more problems in the long run.
