Motorcyclist dies in two-vehicle crash
NEW FRANKLIN

A Canal Fulton motorcyclist died Tuesday afternoon after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner.

Curtis Shepherd, 44, was southbound in front of the Eagles Club at 5899 Manchester Road in New Franklin attempting to make a left turn when a Mercury sport utility vehicle, also southbound, attempted to go around him, according to the Stark Highway Patrol.

The sport utility vehicle, driven by Jeffrey A. Hagen, 36, of Canal Fulton, struck Shepherd, who was thrown from the motorcycle, authorities said. Read more

I am not going to defend driving while drinking BUT, as someone who has driven home after a few beers (and more than a few times) it isnt just the drinks - its the idiotic driving behaviour. look at this guy, doing 70 in the city passing cars?? hell that could cause an accident if he was sober.
