What did you think this wouldnt happen to your school? It happens everywhere else but not here, right? Nice reactive approach! The only thing I can think of is that you and the other faculty did was plan for more school levies so you can have your raises. Ya your concerned about the kids my anal! WOW CONGRATS!!! You finally got something right...the body part you mentioned perfect description for you.

Gone to far wrote: It's obvious in your last statement saying "you are familiar with this guy" that you have him confused with someone else or you are one of the most ignorant person yet to have made a comment on this forum, if you were in any way familiar with the "guy"as you call him ,you would know that he grew up in a wonderful loving home with a family that loves him . How dare you say pathetic upbringing. Life is all about choices and in this instance Ryan made the wrong choice but it has nothing what so ever to do with his upbringing.<quoted text> I meant exactly what I said. Something happened to make him go the way he did, and his behavior was learned at home. Call it an ignorant comment or whatever you'd like, but it's called the truth. Making excuses for his behavior won't make the situation any better. You must be a family member or a friend of the family.

I spoke with Ryan both days. I thought he was a very nice man and to come in and volunteer his time was very thoughtful on his part bless his little heart. After all our system has no security what so ever and I think we should give him a job. He was willing to step up to the plate and do his job. Shame on all of you!

Do you really think there is a plan that would and will cover EVERY type of situation that would/could happen at a school at any given time? If you do, you need to burst your bubble and get a handle with today's society. Anything and everything can and will happen in today's society. How about the loon who steals a tank and drives it to school? Or the student who gets back at another student by putting a pipe bome in his locker. Lock the doors and have the swat team patrol the halls, but the next outrageous thing that happens in our schools will shock and amaze everyone and we will all be on here belly aching about the schools plans for this and that. I am sure Manchester has safety plans and lock down plans in place, they have to according to law. Did they have a plan for the unexpected graduate fake cop who walks in the front door and passes himself off as a cop incident? You tell me. Will the school have a plan for the next bizarre thing that happens? You tell me, your the armchair quaterbacks.

NOT THE SCHOOLS FAULT wrote: I think this is ridiculous. I graduated with Ryan Worlow. I know the school system better than most of you that are posting. I have three family members in each of the schools and have ties with many of the employees. Manchester is a school where they honor their grads. They help out their grads. Just like Sam Reynolds said. Yes, maybe they made a simple mistake but that is the past. Ryan didn't do anything to any of the kids. So Manchester was completely off. If someone came up to you in a police uniform and badge and EVERYTHING, would you question it? I THINK NOT. Get real people. This could have happened to ANYONE OR ANY SCHOOL DISTRICT. Manchester had to make sure that their speculations were right before accusing an innocent man guilty. Don't forget that. We live in the USA. We ARE innocent until proven guilty. They couldn't tell the parents of Manchester students that there is someone posing as a police officer if they didn't know. You need to be reasonable. Look at the other school districts around us. Coventry and Northwest. They have DRUG busts ALL the time and police officers are there all the time. If you have SUCH a problem with Manchester where we excel in safety compared to ANY other school around here. Then please do us all a favor and take your child to the surroundings schools like Coventry and Northwest. Your child will be there for a week and you will be begging to come back. I understand that you are upset because I would be upset to but it is NOT Manchesters fault. It was an honest mistake. An HONEST MISTAKE???? Are u looney too???? Like you I went 2 school here, and my kids go here, and yes...i am ticked off. There IS NO security here even after the fact!!!! We can still walk right on in. It's ridiculous....And don't tell me we were notified soon enough...bullhockey...we weren't notified quick enough at all. I expect my kids to be safe and if even after this happened and you can still walk right through the back door and walk around I DO NOT call them being safe. Don't talk about their security system, and him just wanting to "show off". You take the same lackadasical attitude that the school district and the police are taking about this issue and it's not right. Until YOUR own kids are put in danger then SHUT UP!!!! HE HAD A LOADED GUN FOR GOD"S sAKE! Thank the great Lord above that he was watching over our kids those two days he was able to gain access to them...but next time we might not get so lucky unless they get off their pompous butts and do something about it. And don't EVEN compare Manchester to Northwest or Coventry!! NO WHERE NEAR close dude! Also until your PAYING the high taxes out here for YOUR OWN kids to go to a good school then again SHUT UP! That is why we DO work so hard to live out here you idiot! So that our kids CAN go to a school where they are safe, less drugs, small classes, etc..... DUHHHHH! Grow up! You'll realize one of these days when all you do is work and breathe and live for your kids!!!

OK GRENDEL....reality check coming your way....in fact....the school DOES have a lock down plan in place....BUT YEA>> NEVERRRR BOTHERED TO USE IT!!! Why???? well that's what all of us parents want to know! Your right in the fact that you can't always expect the unexpected, but when you get suspicous of a person, and then later CONFIRMED...ya that LOCK DOWN PLAN...should have been put into place...and it wasn't. So don't come on here and take the same la-di-da attitude that the school is taking...There IS NO security at any of the schools...obviously you've never been in them during school hours or you wouldn't have made the comments you did. Don't talk about something you know NOTHING about. The school handled it VERY poorly, and that's all us parents want changed!!! GOT IT?????
