State Police in Lawrence Co. investigating man's death

My daughter is the girlfried of the late Tommy Nail I watch her gry everyday an night because justice is not done in his MURDER. His parent is so lost, I lost my brother 18 years ago because of a stabbing the man was sentence on march 18,1991, my brother died on the 17,1991. He only served 3 months for it.The law is not right if one of there own was murder in cold blood it would be different, But a young mans life was taken an no jutsice has been taken yet, ITS NOT FAIR FOR THE ONES WHO LOVED HIM. MY daughter lost her one an only true love at a young age. SO who ever reads this say a pray for his girlfreid an his family

I can't understand why there wasn't any arrests for the murder of the Nail boy. So many were there and you would think they would tell the police what happened.If they let the fight go on without calling the police then they are all guilty!

Prayers for his family and girlfriend. I can only imagine what they are going through.

First it was self-defense and now there are charges. Is it election year?

the pennsylvania cop investigating this murder has a jew name. jews hate confederate flags and the victim thomas nail and his family seemed to like confederate-looking flags so i wonder if the state police or someone in the court system are minimizing this guy's death because of a confederate flag. they would be doing something criminal if this is the case.

you probably might want to get an attorney to see what is going on. if the killer was black he could have lied and said the victim called him racial names or the cops may not like the victim because he liked confederate flags. i don't know but thought i'd give you my opinion.

was the victim and his family local or are they from the south? get an attorney and sue the killer in civil court like it was done to oj simpson. even if the killer has nothing if you get a judgement against him and he inherits something 10 years from now you will be entitled to what he inherits.

There are charges...to the guy who "set up" the whole fight in the first place. The self-defense came from another guy being held under water by Nail...who then took a knife out of his pocket and stabbed Nail......Susposedly!!

Jolene, it said in the paper that your daughter is 17 years old what was she doing out at that time of the night? He wasn't MURDERED he was killed doing what he loved FIGHTING. If he would have let the kid run he would have never been killed. And his parents,family and friends including your daughter need to move on and heal. And they also have to realize that it was HIS fault that he was killed.

I am so tired of hearing that another child should suffer in this whole tragic situation!! Do you not think that ALL of the families involved in this aren't suffering?!! Your daughter and her (under belly trash of new castle) friends should stop harassing the other families involved! Yes I do know you and every family involved in this! Tommy was a typical teenager that liked to fight and even his Mother predicted someday it would be the death of him. All the boys involved in this were friends and I know for a fact that if they could go back change things they would!! As in Tommy's Father (a convicted rapist and murderer) He can go on the news and say and I quote "My life is almost over and I'm not letting this go" also telling people he is going to kill this poor child!!??? Where are the charges against him? Now this young boy will NEVER be able to live a normal life as it is but to have to always look over his shoulder because these people promise to kill him? Another thing maybe your daughter should not have lied in court! So before you go off screaming "Justice" maybe you should find out what your daughter was really doing out with boys at 4am on a school night or any night for that matter!!

I can not believe that someone would stoop that low to talk about someone that has just lost their friend, boyfriend,son and brother. Tommy was a typical teenage boy who enjoyed life. My mother stated that she had told tommy to be careful and not to fight like any mother would....not that it would lead to his death. As for my father there is no reason to try to use "slander" to put him down after the death of his son....that just shows what type of people the Dottle family are and their character. Taking saomeones life is a horrible thing and that was a choice that Brian made his self when he stabbed my brother 10 times. His action is the reason why my brother is not alive. Tommys actions was not to take someones life as was Dottles he knew what pain and injuries a knife would inflict and that is exactly why he used his knife. My dad stated that "my life is almost over" meaning that he is in his sixties and that without his son Tommy he has no life and as a parent you think you would have been able to clearly understand that. You say that your son will never be able to live a normal life and that is true....when you kill someone and repeatly stab somone ten times how can you live a NORMAL life....that is not normal and neither is your family and the way that you are reacting. Where is the remorse and the sympathy from this family? There obviously is none how you can simply see stated above by Brians mother. As for Tommys girlfriend Miranda...her mother is demanding justice and has every right to do so. Her daughter was the only help or hope for justice that Tommy had that night. If it had not been for her Tommy wouldnt have had anyone that cared about him to get him help. Miranda is a young girl that was with her one and only boyfriend. A typical thing for a girl to do is to be with her boyfriend and yes it was late but she was there with Tommy. What was your son doing at that time of the night going to a dark area with a weapon? That is the real question. As for harassment....i would like to say that there have been numerous occasions from your family that happened to harass the Nail Family....Who drives and harasses a family mourning their son at his grave? Where is the charges for that?

there is no way the Nail family will ever be able to see this tragedy for exactly what it is. Do they hold tommy responsible for any of his actions that night? do they acknowledge his reputation for being the "bada s s " that he was? do they wonder why he was fighting a fight that was not his to fight in the first place that ultimatly led to his death? are they angry about that? do they realize the defensive wounds the other kid had from this fight? that had tommy stopped beating him the first time the knife struck him he would have had no reason to continue striking blindly in the night to get his attacker off of him while his head was beat and held underwater? he couldnt have felt the first strike or any thereafter because of the adreline and rage he was at in the moment..the rage tommy displayed against brian for a FIGHT that WAS NOT his fight? other to show your true bad ass_ness ..thats why... fair fighters dont fight other peoples fight.. and when they do ... it leads us to here,, i dont know anyone of these familys personally.. my heart aches for all involved..truly.. i dont believe for a minute that brian went down there to harm anyone. he was thinking he was "invited" to hang with friends and drink a few.. the deception came on the others part.. own it.. our youth is out of control and the parents of todays society need to be parents, put there foot down and stop being friends with there kids... my 16,17,18 0r 19 yr old would not being running the streets EVER without me being fast on there heels!!! and if they cant follow my rules in my house then it would be time clearly for them to get there own place and live the way they want,'My prayers to both familys..
