Another case of wasting valuable time and resources to persecute those who commit totally victimless crimes. When will they ever learn.

Good luck to them. With a medical prescription, they may win. I do hope the ACLU will step up and help them financially. The government, of course, has unlimited resources (compliment of our taxes) to pursue their case to imprison these people.

We have serious crimes out there, things that warrant police attention. There are substances that are legal that are far more harmful to the body than marijuana. Still, we persecute those who do it IN THEIR OWN HOMES. No, I've never done marijuana, but I do think it's a gross waste of our tax dollars for the federal, state and local government to prosecute these people. It's time for the laws to change. So long as they're not driving, on the job, giving it to a minor or causing physical harm to one another, it's really none of anybody's business.

A medical prescription doesn't mean anything if they're in a state where the drug is illegal...I don't know about the legality in florida, but if they got a prescription down there they should have stayed there. And with the volume of pot growing in their house, I sincerely doubt they're the only users.

"Until Indiana changes its law, she needs to move to Canada or California," the trooper said."

Yeah, we wouldn't want to you be looking for real criminals that actually harmed someone else.

Marijuana prohibition is a scam and violates 9 of the first ten amendments to the Constitution. There is no compelling reason for marijuana to remain illegal for any purpose, medical, religious or recreational.

Or she could move to:
Washington state
Oregon
Nevada
Montana
Colorado
Alaska
Hawaii
Vermont
Rhode Island
and Maine...

...in addition to California. These are the 11 states with some sanity regarding marijuana.

he war on drugs costs taxpayers more than $40 billion dollars a year. More than two-thirds of this money is spent on enforcement, court and prison, while only one-third is spent on drug education. An additional $20 billion is spent by state and local funders on anti-drug measures for things such as imprisonment, policing and prosecution.

Make pot legal and tax the hell out of it like cigarettes. I was recently in their business to buy some bottle corks and yeast as we make some homemade wine occasionally and when I walked into the store it was apparent that I startled her as there was alot of shuffling and stuffing things into a container and then personally getting everything I was looking for, obviously rushing me out of the store. I wasn't given the opportunity to browse to see if I wanted to buy anything else. There is always incense burning whenever you go in their store also. I told my husband when I got home that day that something just didn't seem right and joking around we both said "Well, they do have the plant grow lights in there, maybe they're growing pot?" What they do at home is one thing but if they are doing it in the business or even have it in the business it could be construed as dealing. I will be finding someplace else to buy my corks for wine bottles, bottles and wine yeast from now on.

Ever hear of jury nullification? I know judges and lawyers don't like it because it gives the common people power. But it is the concept of not only judging the accused but also the law he is accused of breaking. The jury may find that the person did indeed break the law as written, but they find the law to be unjust and in a sense overturn the law by finding the accused not guilty because of the unjustness of the law.

It is a check We, the People have on our government. Too bad our government is afraid of the People exercising any authority.
