Manion's war-focus campaign is new approach

It's tragic that Travis Manion was lost in Iraq. It's also tragic that some 4,000 other US troops have been lost there, a tragedy made worse by an unnecessary and hideously expensive war based on a lie by our government. Mr. Manion seems like a single-issue candidate who wants to justify the Iraq war somehow, but let's face it, the Iraq war is something the American public overwhelmingly disapproves of, Travis's heroic service and tragic loss notwithstanding.

I am inspired by Tom Manion, and believe he has a sincere desire to bring his management and administrative skills to Washington. He offers a maturity and perspective that is refreshing after viewing the blatant party pandering that the young pup representative has displayed the last few years. Seems that young pup ran on just one topic too. For most voters the Iraq war is no longer a front burner topic. Concerns today are the economy, gas prices, food prices, opportunities lost to foreign nations and a concern for national direction. No one person or office can remedy these situations, and for some topics, like the economy, the government can't do anything, but whoever we send to Washington, let's hope the partisan spats can diminish.
