Hopefully, the prosecutor has done his job and this will be an easy open and shut case. 24 years is a long time for these families to get justice.

Michael Jimmerson is the 3rd DA since the KFC murders. I don't think anything will ever be simple when it comes to this case.

It's a nice thought though. Hopefully there will be closure for the families at the end of this trial though.

My heart is so heavy today as all of this starts. So many emotions that have been dealt with one way or another over the past 24 years. So many lives that were effected by what happened on that oil top road off of 323. It's time for all of this to finally be addressed. It's time that some of us let go...and perhaps even let ourselves grieve for someone that will always mean so much to us, even though to do so publically would have brought questions that were not meant to be asked.
I remember 2 of those guys. With all the fondness my heart can hold...you will always be...My Endless Love.

Did you see on the news about the guy coming to trial wants Judge Gossett off the bench? Didn't know they could choose their own judge..

A defendant can motion for a judge to recuse himself; I guess the fear here is that because Gossett presided over the related trial of his co-defendant and various hearings associated therewith, that perhaps he will not be fair in his rulings in this trial--but this defendant will have a jury trial, so Gossett's opinion on guilt or innocence will not be directly in play. Anyway, I doubt the motion will succeed in this case; from the little I know, Gossett seems to be acting quite reasonably and with great effort to avoid any appearance of impropriety.

I know he won't be able to do what he is asking, I was being sarcastic. Sorry. I think Gossett is doinga great job.

Do you believe in good luck? Well you should, because you're surrounded by it today. Grab every opportunity that comes along because you never know when you'll get another chance, especially if travel or education is involved. It's also a good day for having a modest gamble, provided that you can afford to lose your stake if your luck suddenly runs out.
