I think you need a more accurate headline for this story:

"Area Leads State in DUI."

Period.

it may be we just lead the state in police enforcing DUIs, either way it is bad, but it is a difference. When one of their daughters was in an accident and obviously DUI they just sent the witnesses away and didn't test her. So it isn't even like they are that interested in enforcing the law they just like the recognition of leading the state in DUI arrests every year.

Trying put this 'area' thing into perspective.
The 'area', as outlined in the article, is Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Perry and York counties.
That's a rather LARGE area. Dare I say, all of south central Pennsylvania.
It just is not Franklin County.

Apparently there's plenty of DUI offenders here so the PSP should add troopers to the Chambersburg barracks following the Willie Sutton adage: Willie robbed banks because that's where the money is. PSP should provide more troopers where there are more DUIs. Simple.

We can thank Mothers Against Drunk Driving for this continued assault on the general public. I'm sick and tired of this twisted group forcing their extended grief on the citizens of this state. Grow up, people. Sorry for your loss BUT get over it! Your sick excuse for ruining other people's lives is sophmoric and self-serving. You all need a psychiatric review. How many more people's lives are you clown going to ruin in the name of your grief?
And the cops???? WTF? Like THEY never drink and drive! They're one of the worst offending groups ... ever! and they 'badge' their way out of trouble all the time. MADD and PSP ... both worthless carbunkles on the tails of society.

By definition drunks are stupid. They have decreased their mental capacity with alcohol. They have demonstrated stupidity by (a) drinking too much alcohol then (b) operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. That is clearly Stuck on Stupid no wiggle room. If their arrest and subsequent fines take away their money, great! They took the risk and lost. PSP should boost manpower in this area and increase the DUI arrests.

what gets my goat is that sometime back the state had 10% of its own run liquor stores open on Sundays, that percentage jumped to 25% so now they are saying they give a crap about the innocent drivers? Nope, its the ole, we make way to much money off of all this so ....... nothing will change. Nevertheless, the local governments make out like fat rats on dui's so its a win win for the governments.

I go to AA meetings every Wed nite and I can tell you by talking with the people and this is a serious problem. The drunks don't care about anything except the next beer. Any thing the cops can do, they sould do even more. A life is worth so much more than the next beer.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Capricorn

You'll have a fabulous time if you're longing to see what's on offer in the sales, especially if you want to buy yourself some new clothes or cosmetics. However, you won't pay much attention to how much you're spending, and may even deliberately avoid thinking about it. Do yourself a favor and don't go overboard if you can't afford it.
