The 5 lefties on the Common Council did it again. Raise taxes! 2.67%

Snead (I want beer tickets), Noah, Wormer, Schaumburg and Drunken Bill voted for it. They claimed people can afford a tax increase. They claimed they were going to cut snow plowing. They want to be elect officials and represent us at the Festival or Parades but not during budget because we should attend the meetings.

Funny, I looked at the minutes and listened to the budget meetings but they never discussed cutting back on snow plowing. Not once in the process. Not one time. IT WAS NEVER PUT ON THE TABLE.

Noah, Tracy and Keith you are not only lefties but you lied at a Public Meeting.

I heard the paper will do a one sided article on the subject for next Thursday paper. My Dad lost his job this month and we can not afford any increase. What doesn't the city understand? I get and I am in high school.

I am going to see about not getting my heat turned off. I lost my job this year. I can not believe the Mayor and his flock of sheep raised our taxes that high this year. Increase of almost 3%. We need to remember these guys during election time.

They think they were elected to raise taxes and go to the bar after the meetings. I think next week it is either the bar on Boxhorn or the one off Pioneer Drive. I forgot which one is next on the rotation.

CUT SNOW PLOWING!!!! Yeah, right. How about cutting the salary of the idiot Alderman who said it.

I am sending my tax bill to my alderman because he said "I can afford the increse." I can't afford it so I guess he can pay for my increase.

THROW THE Bums OUT!!!

Funny....New Berlin has passed a zero levy increase due to the poor economy but Muskego claims it is only 3 %. Thank You New Berlin Common Council.
Now it is re-election time and one Muskego Alderman is getting local press for looking at cutting recycling. In the budget, she claimed she could not cut anything??? Why Now????
Re-election Time.
Hold on....
Muskego does not have 2nd recycling location except at the landfill. Or is the a location that does not exist? So cut something that does not exist? That is not a savings!
Cut a new program in 2010? You claimed you could not cut anything but snow plowing. Why didn't you cut this program before re-election time? Another left wing move by the left wing Council.

I just drove through New Berlin, Muskego and Franklin today and I could not compare or notice a difference in the snow clearing. I thought Muskego's road had more ice. And New Berlin had a zero levy increase how can they do it????(Sarcasm)

The next time I go to the mexican restaurant and bar in town. I am wearing boots because I do not want to walk in it while the Mayor and his sheep are having a debriefing meeting.

I can’t believe the gall of Mayor Johnson and the majority of Muskego’s Common Council. First, they approve Mayor Johnson’s budget proposal almost as presented. Then, when Johnson’s gang starts taking heat for the budget increase they supported, they try to scare us with snow plowing cuts. Unless they held yet another of the illegal (tavern) meetings that most of us know about, this was never discussed or considered. This is the classic example of a snow job.
In the next breath, they said the budget was the ‘fault’ of taxpayers because we did not speak out early or loudly enough. If we taxpayers are expected to look over your shoulders and jam the e-mailboxes and phone lines for each issue, Johnsons and his gang are not doing the jobs we are paying them for. We told you want we wanted when we voted for you based on your campaign promises (remember the word ‘integrity’ on the flashy campaign signs???)
For the past few years, Johnson and the “Chamber of Commerce Party” hold a lock on the majority of Muskego’s Common Council. The only way we are going to get fair representation is to kick out every elected official who has been supported by Johnson, Werner, Sneed, Fiedler or the Chamber of Commerce.
The only Alderman who fought for Muskego taxpayers in the past year is Neil Borgman. He deserves our support and thanks. As for the rest of them, we need to get rid of them now. Both other incumbents up for election this spring have been quoted as saying they will not run if opposed. So much for wanting to represent us. If having an opponent is all it will take to dump these losers and your alderman is up for re-election, please consider running. If Ald. Fiedler is any example, you won’t even have to attend meetings to earn your salary and medical benefits.
Most of all, remember that your vote is private, so don’t be afraid to vote for someone who will represent your concerns instead of feeling that you have to vote for someone based on the church they attend or the clubs they are in. We deserve officials who will represent all of us.

Time for change.

I just saw the salary of the Tosa mayor being 20K and Muskego's Mayor get 85K with benefits. Let's compare cities....Tosa has a strong tax base of business and retail. Muskego has residential.

I just heard the Chamber of Commerce Director is running for the County Board. I guess AMT was right on about a Chamber Politcal Action Committtee!

Leave these guys alone.

You all sound like a bunch of babies.

So what if the Alderman lied. So what if the Mayor lied. So what.

Matt J sounds like what you would expect from a Milwaukee resident who has given up but will whine all year about his taxes (much lower than ours, by the way).

Excuse me for pointing out that at least one of Milwaukee's lying Aldermen is currently serving prison time. That is what is supposed to happen when elected officials think that lying, illegal meetings, big $$ gifts for buddies at our expense, etc. is 'business as usual'.

Muskego is not supposed to be like Milwaukee. We are supposed to be better, more honest and more 'small town' than 'big city'. Please do not insult us if you don't have a dog in this fight.

Why haven't we received our tax bill. Funny how Johnson is waiting until the week of Christmas in hopes the taxpayer is too busy with the holidays to complain.

I suspect that the reason we don't have our tax bills yet is to reduce the amount of time we have to collect signatures for opponents to Johnson's Aldermanic buddies and his County Supervisor candidate. This is NOT the first time Johnson has directed city staff to delay releasing bad news to city residents.

If the bills go out late enough, the only way to oppose that gang in the spring elections will be via write-in candidates. This is a classic ploy to give the maximum advantage to the "in-crowd" who have created most of our problems already.
