All local politicians should work together to bring the out-of-control PLCB "gang" under MANAGEMENT of the House Gaming Oversight Committee. Annual audits must be integral to the management process. Coy, Harbach, and the other "thugs" at the public trough must be recognized as abusers of the public trust and clearly recognized as lacking taxpayers' trust and confidence. There are protesters at the homes of AIG executives who've rec'd a huge bonus. There should be protesters outside Jeff Coy's home in Shippensburg.

What other agencies would you like to micromanage. Suggestions for appearing at Board Member homes borders on harrassment.

I don't think the expenses are bad. If you ever lived on the road, it isn't necessary but nice to stay in a decent hotel and eat good food. If in fact they do work long or off hours I don't see it as a big deal. I would rather worry about the wasted millions that is included in bills than thousands that these guys are spending.

I thought the proceeds from gambling was to benefit senior citizens. That is what is wrong with this country..Too many people in authority, taking advantage of monies belonging to the seniors, or the poor...I have spent my last gambling dollar. I hope others follow suit.....

This is pure corruption at the expense of the people (those that are suppose to benefit from the profit of the gaming industry).$145000 salaries! Wineing and dining! Good job PO for bringing this out. Please continue to follow through and report on what (if anything) is done about it. But to be fair: Let them try to justify it (I don't think they will be able too)

Standing in the street or on a sidewalk which is public property and exercising First Amendment right to speak or carry signs is the protester's right. Are you a Coy partisan, suckup, or family member?

Anyone: explain the difference, in 25 words or less, between Mohammed Khan of Hagerstown who is in jail for stealing taxpayers' money misusing EBT cards and board members of the gaming board who plunder taxpayers' money as explained in the article?

Don't you think Jeff Coy can find a decent, clean motel for less than $139 per night? He chooses the Hilton because he's a "big shot", playing the role using your taxmoney.

Harbach, Coy, and their cohorts are big-time spenders when it comes to wasting taxpayers dollars. I forgot, you have no shame. No wonder the Gaming Board members live "high on the hog" with these two involved. Unfortunately, they aren't elected officials or we could boot them out of office. Thank you, P.O., for calling our attention to their wasteful spending.

Thanks, RICHARD FELLINGER! Congratulations on your article about the gaming board swine. Please continue with follow-up stories about these corrupt people. Some may argue that their "perk" of a leased car that taxpayers underwrite is legal and that's accurate; however, who created the perk? Didn't the gaming board vote that perk for themselves? Apparently the board members get use of their leased car 365 days and can put thousands of miles on them for trips NOT RELATED to gaming board work. Is that correct, Richard?

Jeff Coy at it again!! How long are we going to put up with his nonsense? Anyone making $145,000 a year should pay for his own vehicle and expenses! All of them should be made to pay that money back and never spend another cent unless it's their OWN!

My husband travels back & forth for work in his own vehicle an hour 1 way & an hour back & doesn't get any compensation for it. Why should any of these guys get paid for the extras? My husband doesn't make near as much a year as these guys do. This needs to stop. When my husband is eating out because of his job, he eats at MacDonalds or some place cheap. His truck was on it's last leg but we did manage to buy a van for $500.00 for his traveling to & from his jobs.$500.00 is what these guys pay for a meal. What a waste of our tax payers money. Why I am posting this is beyond me because it will continue to happen with our tax payers money.

If you're working on a government contract, you cannot invoice anything more than the daily rate in the Federal Travel Regulations for that locality. You can SPEND more, but you pay the difference out of your own pocket. The maximum per diem rates for Harrisburg, PA is $99 for lodging and $44 for meals and incidental expenses. I don't think it would be unfair to limit the Gaming people similarly. And $556 is the cheapest car lease? Certainly cars can be leased for less, can't they? They should be restricted on the value of the car leases, also.

I hope the Public Opinion puts pressure on the Legislature in Harrisburg, as well as the Governor himself, to rein in these idiots. How dare they justify a need for more money when they are raping the state with their greedy and immoral behavior as we speak. The entire board needs to be gutted and a new board put in its stead with new rules that preclude this type of wanton gluttony. Maybe then it will be easier to be supportive of their financial needs. There is no justification for driving a $600 or $900 dollar a month car, there is no excuse for dining in restaurants for hundreds of dollars and calling it a business meeting (betcha I could find a very nice place to eat in Harrisburg for 1/3 of that money and take a couple of business associates with me). There is no excuse for staying in the most expensive hotel in Harrisburg (sorry but budget hotels are clean and where most folks lay their heads when they frequently travel)For now, however, they are just greedy idiots that need to be dismissed from their positions. And if the Governor and our legislators who appointed these freaks don't see the lunacy in this scenario then there is absolutely no hope for any of us.

Jeff Coy, the biggest embarrassment to the Democratic Party ever to come out of Franklin County, a man who has chosen for his legacy, greed over respect. Sad.

this all sounds like a bit of envy on everyone's part. if you understood the responsibility of the board and travelling in big business, then you would not be saying what you are. the costs are not out of line.

What is the difference between these people, the people doing the same thing in Washingtin, D.C. and the local goverments? No one digs into the local scene! Politicans are crooked everywhere. In the words of a friend, "How can you tell a politican is lying?" Easy, their lips are moving.
