Why'd the democrats hire someone from Bexley and not North Linden? Heck, they may as well hire someone from California.

politicians (like kasich) always hire their buddies or people in the circle with "connections"

only thing to believe from a politician is they will lie, cheat and steal from the people of the USA while we suffer

Bexley is home to some of this area's largest Democrat contributers plus more than one "behind the scene" Democrats. Let us just hope this new leadership has some vision and concern for their fellow man.
I would rail against elitist Democrats and their contribution to the downfall of the Democratic locally and statewide but this gal lives in Bexley and worked for some New Albany politician I doubt the message be understood. Us "little people" ( yeah I'm talking about 99 percent of the population) will just have to sit back and watch the show as this new crop of minions of the elite continue to destroy what is left of the Democratic party in Ohio.

Oh Gonzo-when will you learn to look beyond the packaging and see the talent and beauty that lies within. I believe Victoria Secret puts on a fashion show for the 2 hours today's men are allowed to evaluate women on their appearence. ( yes we all have figured out it is not really about selling underwear)

hopefully the new director will lift a finger and get the tens of thousands of newly registered african american voters to actually vote during midterms.

it would be nice if the DNC made the same effort on a national level instead of basking in the liberal afterglow of the 2008 presidential election.

Congratulations Jennifer.
Here's hoping you can organize your fellow Democrats against the corporate welfafe being handed out by the Columnbus mayor's office and city counci.
Also, maybe you can organize anti-war protest movement. We are in a third front of war. And it looks like oil - European oil - is at the center of this "kinetic military action."
Good luck.

What happened to Gonzo's post? I like the part about Mary Jo Kilroy. My cat would cover his face when the ad with Mary jo and her daughters were on.

For anyone who is interested my reply to Gonzo was in response to 2 posts concerning the appearence of the above mentioned politicians. Both posts were deleted. The new leadership of the Dems may want to take note of this since the comments were most likely reported as offensive.( no where near what I have seen allowed to stay on these comment boards regarding a wide range of topics) When someone cannot take a negative comment on their personal appearence they are by definition incompetent to hold public office. It indicates you do not have the thick skin necessary. This is a problem especially with Dems. They do not want to hear any views that do not mesh with their own, and they shut down challenging people and comments. This lack of intelluctual ability has led to the decline in the quality of Democrats in this community. The right and middle at least will engage in debate even if they do not like what is being said.
I am disappointed with the Dispatch for deleting posts that reveal a huge societal issue ( women professionals and appearence) especially when I have seen ( and reported) much more serious posts that have been allowed to stay in the comment section.
If the new Dem leadership is so easily offended-Obama may as well skip ohio all together because the Dem leadership will not be aware of what is going on in the community because "they cannot handle hearing or reading it."

Like LBJ said about the new democrats at the 1972 convention, I just wished one of these people had at least been elected dog catcher, just once. When you allow the narrow and divisive couter culture Mcgoverniks to dictate the agenda, the party loses every time in a blaze of glory. Then the working people end up taking a beating.

This makes African Americans sound as if they can't do it themselves. Was that your intent? That African Americans will only vote if under the 'right' leadership, and only if told to do so?

re boogeynights posts-a serious effort was made to include ALL Democrats during the Presidential election. Of paticular focus was youth voters and African American voters. The Democrats lost both groups in the midterms.
American's in general, the above mentioned groups in paticular, have a long history of not voting. In our not so recent past winning one election meant you had a position for life, especially on the State and local level. This is changing as the voters increasing realize it is they who have the power on election day.
The Dems disinfranchised a lot of cross over voters and their own party members during thier short reign in power in centeral Ohio. In their arrogance they did not keep their ear to the ground and open to all of their potential voters.
The mid terms were important but the Dems had lost it the day they announced their candidates and followed the same old same old paths involving elitism and corruption. When dreams are dead it takes something special to get people reinvolved in the process.

Kudos and good luck, Jennifer. I hope you hook up with the Blue Ash (Cincinnati) Democrats soon. They're a good group and could use your support. Just ask Connie Pillich.

So what are Ms. Dillard's educational credentials? She seems to have good political skills. I wish her all the best coming from Ms. Garland's staff.
