I personally know her daughter. I think it's a little funny how someone said she was a good mother, I think that the court cases and child abuse would make someone else think differently.

I think maybe you should get all the facts before you defame someones character. If you know her daughter then you know they had problems but not all the mom's fault. Maybe when you become a parent you will think better of your statements,and as a mother i would never let my teenagers run wild or free, or skip school and have boys in my house sleeping with them and stealing from me, when i am the one paying the cost, problems and fights happen it takes 2 people. plz get all the facts before you talk about someone who can't defend herself..

I agree with you. And I am wondering if the noted child wouldn't agree with you as well...

I do not know the family. I do not have any facts. But I know this much.....whatever problems families' have, often work themselves out as time goes by. The teenage years pass, the parental frustrations and stress, fade, and as a rule, children understand or at least are more compassionate, when they have children.

Look back over our lives and think how thankful we are that we did not die with bad feelings between us and the ones we love.

That said, from the insinuations, there were family issues. Find me a family that does not have a few and I will become their neighbor.

And please be careful...her children are going to remember the good things about their mother and may resent others for making comments about things they may now wish to forget. She is their mother and always will be. Good, bad, indifferent, or even the parent of a teenager, her children loved her and always will.

Why was there not a gard rail put in after the first car had fallen in. I live two minutes from here and have offten thought about how easy it would be to drive in. something needs to be done!

I am VERY familiar with this intersection as I go through it every day. #1, there is no indication that the road stops there. When you are coming up to the intersection at night, you are directly facing the building. When your lights hit the windows of thebuilding, it sometimes gives the appearance that there is oncoming traffic. I know, this has happened to me, and if you are not totally aware of where you are at, it can become confusing. There are fences on both sides of the pond, but nothing, not even a sign marking the road ends at that exact point. If you were going 40mph and hit that curb without breaking, I can absolutely see how this could happen. 40mph is faster than you think when you hit something that is standing completely still such as the embankment. This dangerous intersection should have been marked the first time a car went into the pond. An ounce of prevention..too bad the city is more worried about painting their white fences as opposed to putting up proper precautions.

This truly is a tragedy. My prayers go out to this woman’s friends and family. This is the second time that a car has ended up in this pond. I believe that the business that occupies this property should be held responsible for this woman’s death. The engineering company that occupies this property also designed the pond. Perhaps they should have done a better job at providing some kind of barrier between the road and the pond. I really hope her family seeks legal action.

One person mentioned, if I have it right, the way the various view lines, guardrails etc., are set up that sometimes the reflection of your own lights on the building glass make it look like the road goes straight. That would be terrible. Ive seen many very interesting pictures of real optical illusions on the internet over the years just for the fun of it. All of them are things you would never dream of and if it was something you had to act on you would do the wrong thing. Even if that isnt exactly the case here it has made me realize the possibility of such things anywhere.

i AM her daughter and obviously you didnt know anything about the situation, keep your mouth shut. i never skipped school, i had FRIENDS at my house, and i never stole a damn thing off of my mother.
