I read alot of these posting and some are just stupid. They offer good training there and the range is safe. They are not suppose to practice quick draws or any of that. If you see a problem at a range and you dont speak up you are just as big as the problem you are seeing. The guy that said he was an expert in the military has no right to complain from what he wrote he is stupid for not speaking up. If you are an expert than you know to speak up and stop all acts that are unsafe at the range. That is your responsiablity you of all people should know this.

I have used the range at New Albany for several years and have never seen any unsafe use of the ranges. The staff at New Albany have always acted in the most professional way to help the people use the range in a safe way. I have used ranges in Calif. (Reed's in San Jose) and in the DC area (NRA Range) New Albany is as professional as this two top ranges. No one can keep another from doing harm if that is their intent.

The guy that was doing it drop the gun and it spun around on the floor. I will never go back there. I was a expert in the military with weapons The safety in that place or lack of it made it not worth my time I was an expert in the military as well. I worked on Range 18 at Fort Jackson, S.C.. The expert qualification is a joke, if you know the right people they give it to you. You may be an excellent marksman but the Army qualification is no indication of that. One of my jobs on the range was to fire the demonstration first thing in the morning. I got so I could hit the 250 Meter target 4 days out of 5 even though it was so far away I couldn't see it. I shot at where I saw the movement when they raised the target. Hitting it always got a cheer from the crowd of trainees. Probably couldn't hit a barn door these days.

I would like to know all of the details to this story. Like perhaps some info on what was going on in her life before this happened? As for banning handguns or guns of any kind I will say it again. If you do not like guns then stay away from them. It is just that simple. It is a right to own a gun guaranteed by our government. Check second amendment. Criminals of all kinds are running around shooting everybody and everything. Even if guns were outlawed it would NOT stop criminals from possessing them. It is that simple. I myself choose to own a firearm and fully intend on defending my family and myself if the occasion should happen to call for such a thing. You try defending yourself with your pocket knife when someone has a gun and intends on harming you or one of your loved one's. And if it truly bothers you that much I suggest like some others already have hop a plane and get to Canada or across the pond to England. As for me I choose to stay and defend me and mine and when guns are outlawed I will be a outlaw. As the old saying goes you can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hand.

Why yall always trying to tear down things that exist. By the way, it will never happen. These people are not experienced that do things like this. I shoot only with experienced people, I dont do it for fun I do it for practice so I can shoot intruders in the head more accurately.
