Cassie wrote: <quoted text> I have had this problem also, and it keeps happening, it seems like after I use the heat or defrost it blows the same fuse again. I have also notices that I am loosing radiator fluid too. Any ideas?? Thanks! Sounds like the AC compressor clutch has a short in it. Put a new fuse in it, start it up with the HVAC controls on heat, then switch it to defrost. If the fuse blows, its most likely the clutch has a short in it. If your engine is a 3.1 V6 you most likely have a lower intake manifold leak. Very common for this engine to use water/anti freeze.

I would have your battery checked. Turn on your dome light, then as you are trying to start the engine, look up and see if the dome light dims. There may be enough voltage in the battery to operate the lights but not enough to excite the starting circuit. You will see the lights go dimmer when you are transfering the electrical power from the dome light to the starter. Do you hear the starter solenoid clicking? Or is it just dead?

I would say that you either have some gunk on your battery terminals that is preventing a good circuit from battery to starter/alternater or your battery is near death. Even though your car is only 3 years old or less, the OEM batteries that are on cars nowadays are junk. I had to replace the battery on my 2005 Malibu Maxx after only 2 1/2 years!!! If your are near an Auto Zone or Pep Boys, they will be happy to check it out for you FOR FREE. Best of luck and if you have any other questions, feel free to leave a message.

Any suggestions SW1414 is the Auto Zone part number for the turn signal switch price is around 100.00 There is a known defect on this part. Contact a Chevy dealer to see if they can help you if your car has less than 100,000 miles. I have replaced several of these for customers.

Have a 2008 malibu, last year I would park and lock the car and the alarm would go off, while driving the door ajar would flash and the interior lights would go on and off. Took it to mechanic, replaced battery in key fob. No problem until recently, same thing happening. Cannot beleive it is the key fob battery again. Lock the car with the interior door lock, alarm does not sound but the interior lights continue to go on and off and door ajar continues to flash. Any suggestions?
