I am from Brooks KY and I'm relocating to Horse Cave KY. I was appauled to hear that a single person was allowed to make a descion for the whole student body at a local high schools'gradution. What ever happened to the majority ruling? It's both touching and sad that these students are not allowed to exercise their rights!I hope that the classes of 2006 as well as future grads stand up for what they belive.Praying has never hurt a soul.GOD BLESS each and every one!!!

When are we going to stop the madness? This country was founded on prayers, the belief in GOD and to be able to worship in your own way without persecution. It is american common practice to not offend anyone. Well when are we as GOD fearing Americans to stop everyone else from offending us? The prayer has been included in every graduation ceremonies since the school began and one person wants it stoped? what about everyone else? One can stop for all humm lets see if that would work for me. Ok I am offended to pay local, state, federal tax's I dont want to anymore (I guess its off to jail for me). I am offended paying high gasoline prices (i guess there will be no injunction on oil companies and they certainly wont be knocking down my door to apoligize for taking food out of my families mouth's)Is there any organization out there for us? Are we slowly becoming a minority where what ever our country stands for or believes in and has been built on is disappearing like dust in the wind? I dont know how the graduation turned out tonight but I heard the senior class stood together and recited the lords prayer and if that's true I bet the ACLU would love to jail every one of them.Until the Government pass a law banning religion in public places the ACLU should stay out of it and this should show you they have nothing better to do then jump on this little small town in the middle of the bible belt and try to change what OUR people Want not person PEOPLE. I LOVE Russell County and have lived here all my life.

I commend every student, parent, teacher, and administrator who stood on their beliefs and did not let one person change the majority wishes. If we stand up for God and country like the atheists stand, we will get the same results they get. There are more Christians than atheists!!!!
Thankful

I am from east Texas, and I say Hooray!! and hats off for the students that recited the Lords prayer out loud. We are one nation under God, not every religion, even though others have the right to exercise their religion. If people don't take a stand for truth our freedoms will soon be gone. We are on a slippery slope headed toward judgement if we as a nation don't turn back to God that created us.

I commend the graduating class of 2006 for standing together and having their prayer and Bible reading. It is a shame that one person tried to take over Russell Co. I would say he has one thing that 99.9% of the people have that says IN GOD WE TRUST, and that is paper money. If those people don't believe in God, then they don't need to carry the money in their pocket. I firmly believe in God and prayer, since I was raised up going to church and praying. May God Bless all of you and let's all stand together Russell Co.

Congurlations to the 2006 Russell County Gradudating Class. They are a "Class Act" that endeared themself into the hearts of many people. I am from Adair Co. and when I read front page of the Lexington Hearld, I sure was proud of you great kids. I dont know any of you, but do have a lot of friends over there and wish the very best to each and everyone of you. In my eyes as a Christian this act is far ahead of any kind of sport state championship. I hope this will inspire us all as Christians to be more vocal and stand up for our rights. I also hope this will show "left wing" liberal judges that they cannot "rule" us out of our FREEDOM OF RELIGION. As someone above said if there was someone who did not want to hear prayer, that person also has a freedom of religion, LET THEM STAY AWAY. Also I believe when any judge comes up for election we will not forget their religious actions and beliefs when we go to the polls. Again THANK YOU RCHS GRADS for your stand and mays God Be With You. P.S. your act will be remembered in our church tomorrow morning and our prayers will be with you.
Thankful

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Leo

There's an erratic quality to the day, thanks to the Full Moon in emotional Cancer, combined with a lunar eclipse. Loved ones are likely to behave in ways you hadn't counted on. The only way to cope with this is to be as flexible as possible. Someone might change an arrangement at the eleventh hour so you have to think on your feet, or others may be determined to do their own thing even though it doesn't suit you. Get any arguments out of the way quickly so you can enjoy your New Year's Eve celebrations with a glad heart.
