I am disappointed. The trip to Nelsonville had become an annual event for me and anyone whom I could convince to come along. I had taken this time to visit friends in the area and enjoy a relaxing day at the festival at the same time. This year I had plans to obtain an article that I have only seen at this festival. I hope to see the festival here again in the future. The Paul Bunyan Show lost its appeal, in my opinion, when it moved away from the college. Thanks to Hocking College for all the years they provided this avenue of entertainment.

I too am disappointed to hear this news. My son attenned Hocking several years ago which began our annual trip to the festival. We told anyone and everyone about this great weekend event. What a loss for the school, Nelsonville and all of those who never got to experience this event. I agree with Phil that it has not the same since it left the college and would like to thank them for the years of entertainment as well.

How does canceling an event that brings money and attention to the local area help in an "ailing economy"??? What a lame excuse.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Virgo

You're finally at your best after relaxing and catching your breath for a moment. Now that you're rested, it's time to do some of the things you've been putting off lately. Make a sudden appearance to surprise someone from your past. No matter how many new people you meet, don't forget that old friendships are the glue that holds the relationship cycle together. Keep in mind that a present doesn't have to cost much, as long as it comes from the heart.
