Northern Bay resort will stay open during bankruptcy proceedings

Does anyone see what's going on at this resort?
The list of investors / owners in foreclosure keeps growing each month. These are investors sold on the winter amenities that were never intended to be build. Occupancy rates and nightly rates that never came true. I smell securities fraud. Not to mention the resort has help hostage the rental revenues from owners since March 2008. Stay away from this place!

Just another example of Supply Side Casino Capitalism. I sure hope we can have another president like Bush soon.

OMG somebody gets it, exactly my thoughts. Some of the owners have taken alot of people
in this community also. What comes around goes around.... Glad someone else notices.

This Resort is a HUGE RIP OFF for those that believed William Ranguette, David Kennedy, Frank Mootz, Matt Mootz & Paul Gilberston would actually complete the Resort ammenities. These guys belong in prison for Securities Fraud and violation of WI Stat. 100.18. They just plain SUCK as humans!

You must realize that the investors also lost millions.
One- why the f*** build in Adams county
Two- you are too far from the dells
Three- you cannot find qualified help in Adams county.
four- we were told that this would lower the propery tax in Strongs Prairie, quite the contrary. it had doubled.
five- they priced these condos sky high and too bad for them the economy tanked.
these will all turn into section 8 housing.

Do you know these investors? Or are you solely going on the fact that a dream they all had went belly up when the Enconomy did?
Who are you to judge without knowing the whole financial story unless of course you know more then what the rest of us do in regards to these investors?

They built condos that were selling for over 300,000.00. The pool for this price point is very small. There are no amenities close. Grocery stores are over 6 miles away, no one wants to swim in the skanky river. They would have been better off building either 20 miles to the north or south. It did nothing for adams county or the residents of Strongs Prairie who is was supposed to help the most we were sold a bill of goods, and yes I do know some of the investors.

they didn't even pay their bills from the begining ( I know because I was one of the vendors they ripped off ) They used and abused the local business's for their own gain and then did not pay them. This was a sham from the start, as they had done the same thing over by Neekosa a few years before and went bankrupt. What they did was take every nickle out and lined their own pockets as each unit sold. Then they claimed to be broke when it came time to pay bills. Hell they even bounced a check to me in the first few months of building.

Adams is nothing but a joke anyway. The only thing they do there is Drugs, Drinking and having as many spawn as possible. Remember INBREDS dont are less than 3rd class citizens...

Hey I only work in Adams. I LIVE in Rapids. So there.

I stayed there last winter for a special rate that was below Holiday Inn rates in the Dells or surrounding area. I thought the golf facility looked well done and the single room condo was nice. I could not find anything to do in the immediate area, but with what the facility offered, who cares? It looked like it could be a hopping place in the summer with golf, boating, etc. What happened?

You build in Adams County because it's a nice getaway. 25 miles from the Dells is only too far if you're walking. There is qualified help in Adams. If you thought that having a large resort in the township would result in the decrease in property value, thereby decreasing your taxes you may need to check your common sense.

Looking to take the kids & grandkids up there this summer. Haven't been there in about a year, used to fish the Pete all the time.
Heard about this place but never visited.
Tried the website, but it looks like its shutdown.
Looking to rent from a Condo owner, but after reading these comments should I look into Lake Arrowhead ?
I golf & fish. I know where to fish, Hows the golf course ?

The residents and property owners in the Town of Strongs Prairie were told that the building of this multi million dollar resort would result in the lowering of property taxes for the township. But since they have not held up their end of the bargain this did not happen. They screwed up riads, cut down trees,(that they had no right to) to cater to the owners of these condos. Again it was a stupid place to build. maybe a great idea that failed miserably.

There are two great courses at Arrowhead and the staff and facility are great. The green fees were pretty reasonable too and often run specials in early and late season. Not sure what they have for lodging.

I noticed that their regular web site is gone and replaced by www.northernbaywi.com I think the condos are wonderful. The prices to buy have dropped alot so if you are in the market to buy now is the time.The association fees are steep right now.About $500 per month but some of these condos are going for $90's. They are spacious and modern, great views. The golf course is being well taken care of. The restaurant is one of the best in the area. And resonably priced food. Nice bar area.

This place is running on a shoe string...the golf course & restaurant WILL NOT be open this summer. To buy a condo is nuts....no future for the resort unless some blind big money man steps in to fight to get the resort from the Bank, which is also in financial difficulty. This place will be converted into Senior Housing by 2015.

Are you kidding me? They are NOT going to be open?? I work 10 minutes from there and haven't heard that, not that I don't believe you.I could see why they wouldn't want that info to get out. May I ask where you get your info from?
