It is that time of yr. Hats and coats all hanging together starts head lice every year. I never wait for the school to check my kids, I do it myself quiet often.

Me too!

Luckily we've never had a bad problem but I stay on top of it and get out the lice shampoo at the first sign.

I preach to the kids about keeping hats, combs, brushes and things like that to themselves but you know kids, they forget.

Really lice aren't anyone's fault, just another bug we have to keep alert to get rid of when it shows up.
thats right

a person can be the cleanest ever and still get it, only fault of some parrents is not getting rid of it. like being to lazy to do the house ect... but yes it is that time of year once again.

I don't think the doctors even tell the parents to spray/wash everything..........I think the place they forget is their CAR! Its the last place youd think but if you have fabric seats better spray them as well. I check our heads and have someone check even mine! I know it is not ones fault but boy does the thought make me feel dirty! I'm not perfect but do like my house/children/self/car to be clean. Don't even feel like I can get things clean for fear of missing that one of us has gotten lice. I remember my mom telling the school that she wouldn't send us back to school because she treated our house and us several times because one family wasn't doing their part in cleaning their house or kids heads. That stuff is expensive. Finally the bus driver personally took the kid to the nurse and sure enough.....LICE. It was a bad year.

But, you don't have to keep hanging with the same people that never get rid of them! and for an adult to tell a pitiful innocent kid to tell others that they are coming from another source to cover his tail, so to speak! It isn't the kids fault, but they have to listen to the shame from others, because parent don't stay on top of it to be rid of them, and could care less. I mean rip rugs up, what ever it takes to delete them once and for all!!

I was assigned to the same bus seat as her. I didn't choose to be around her...she was six years older than me but had to set up front with the little kids for whatever reason. My parents even had me moved to a different seat after the bus driver realized this kid was the one who was spreading it. I didn't have lice after that. YUCK! It is embarassing but it is only shamed upon if the parents don't take care of it.
