Irvin reports that bernadette martin tribal prosecutor was holding Carroll on lesser charges of auto theft and burglary. He also said that some speculate this may have been a "powerplay" on her part sending a mesage to the Feds that their days of walkig on the tribe and "flashing badges" were over.
this is sick. Playing games in the face of this nun's murder is plain not right! I know the tribe has very few resources and would not be able to hold this creep for long but to stand in the way of justice is just plain stupid. Sorry tribe but to pull the Sovereignty card at this time is just plain political suicide. Martin, this was not a smart move on your part.
She'll have to learn not to bite the hand that feeds you. Understand she's a short-timer...not much experience in this realm. At least this is one procedure that's tried and true for everyone's interest at heart. With cooperation from all parties involved, the suspect will eventually get justice. She's fighting a good fight thinking she's protecting the Tribe's members. Unfortunately, she's fighting the wrong battle. The Feds are there to assist the Tribe; to bring justice to all, not only to see to it that the accused's rights are protected, but to protect the safety of all. She'll learn...may be a hard lesson to learn...or big pill to swallow, but the end result will benefit all.

People don't like Christianty or Catholisicm, or whatever, get used to it....People don't like being told to look up to a White Jesus for salvation. I know I don't...

This has nothing to do with religious preferences, beliefs in what color your Jesus is...it has to do with the United States of America and the American justice system. If you live within the confines of the the United States of America, are a citizen and obey the law, you deserve protection under the Constitution. Both the victims and the accused are protected. Racism has no place here.

It still amazes me that people like you still exist. Fearful of something because you don't know or understand it, so you attack and blame it with ignorant statements. Based on your comment then you have just justified that it's okay to commit hate crimes. Nice job.

Navajo police have been informed of all the skanks in the community of Navajo. They even leave their tags all over like a dog pissing on a fire hydrant. Time to clear these skanks of the Nation by hiring some real police officers.

What kind of person murders a nun? What excuse will they have in court when apprehended? Are the meek more of an easy mark than an example for us to live by? I only hope justice reaches the culprits in the form of " an eye for an eye". May karma find those people. Forgiveness? Enough is enough.........
What kind of priest rapes tiny little kids. Answer that one.
