It's just a matter of time after his release, he will be back in jail. No sympathy for this thug.

Hmm seems the DA went for too much, for the Aquited shooters, maybe the same charge as the third guy. I think Jaime's guys shoot too high too often though, of course that just my opinion.

How dear you say such a thing ! Who are you to be cast stones ? Were you there? Did you see it happen? To tell you the truth his WHOLE family is celabrating he was accused of something that he could have never done , he was shot ! You people need to get the story straight before you open your mouths !Hopefully this has taught Thomas a good lesson in life , that no matter who you hang with family or friends you have to make the right decissions.God has given him another shot at life, and he will have make the best of it ! Thomas we all love you and have been praying for this day to come so please Thank the Lord everyday that you wake up to give you the strength to fight off all the demons, mean people and negative that there is out there in this crazed town of San Juan County !Good luck to you and your family ! May God Bless you !:)

For a Nam vets wife, you are pretty cold blooded. Sure his Dad is celebrating and thanking God for answering his prayers. What Dad would not? This is a good example of parents doing all they can to raise children right and punk kids getting mixed up with the wrong crowd. A good example of gang power. One would not do bad thing when acting alone, but in a crowd, will share and "delegage" the consequences and reprocutions of the to the members at large. When you are young and influenced by testoserine, drugs and booze, bad thing happen. Hopefully he has learned from the ordeal and found Christ. Heaven knows he has had prenty of time to think about the path he has chose walked upon and a life he had a part in taking. Regardless of any of this, he has been granted another chance at life. We will see if he is man enough to face his responsibilities. If'n he chooses to be a vato loco, he will get no mercy from the power that granted him this chance. Good luck, try hard, do the right thing. Congradulations! Joe and Jeanie, your prayers have been answered. Continue to support and pray for your children, as we all do.But for the grace of God, this could have happened to each and everyone of us instead of you. We know y'all tried very hard to provide proper guidance. Some kids choose to learn the hard way. Va yawn con Dios.

God answered many prayers that were directed to his attention regarding this matter. He has been granted one last chance to be a man. Don't hold your breath, he WILL come back here. This area owns his soul and spirit. He is a native son. His ancesters have been here before Columbus bumped into Plymouth rock. That is a fact. He's a boy gone bad that came from good people. We all hope he recognizes he has been granted another chance to be a responsible citizen. Just thank the Lord he didn't choose your family for this lesson in life. You should thank the Lord for not making you or yours a character in this play of life. Get on you knees and thank God or your lucky stars. While you are in position, pray that this man gets on the right road instead of casting stones at glass houses.

doc-z wrote: Sounds like self defense to me not murder but what do I know.... Nothing... Don't short-change yourself, mister. You are exhibiting an extreme case of common sense, based on available fact. In this case, a homicide occured. The final conclusion, it was judged to be a "justifiable homicide. What would you have done if'n some wet-back starting shooting at you? Probably the same thing that I (or you) would have done, DEFEND YOURSELF. What would your cousin-brothers have done, DEFEND AND PROTECT. Escobar was a wet-back drug dealer. He owed Mr. Jacquez money from a lagimiate business deal. Mr. Jacques had been trying to collect his money for some time. Escobar had been mouthing off that he would just kill Mr. Jacques. That probably led the Jacquez boyz to arm themselves. I would have done the same thing, if'n I owned a gun. I would have probably used my bow and arrows. I do have these, and can hit what I aim at. No wet-backs, less targets, bring more. Give Mr. Jacquez a cigar! Bless his cousin brothers. Good job, boyz.

I feel that if anyone really knows Vigil they would agree that his conviction was the way justice is suppose to work . Good job jury !

Even if he did what the state alleges, it hardly merits first degree murder. You shoot at me, I'll be shootin' back and hollering for my friends to do so also.
