It was more *rude* than anything else. Just like it would be rude for an African-American teacher to say "Sitcho azz down, white boy!" to a Caucasian student in a classroom full of children of color.

That student will get over it. Hopefully, the teacher will receive a reprimand that she actually learns something from - a "teachable moment" - and life will go on.

So I'm not sure what to make of your link.

The author produces a faked-up Facebook page, apparently not (or maybe) produced by the mom, with a fake photo.

This doesn't mean the attack wasn't carried out by two black guys on a white kid, it just means there's an idiot on Facebook.

The author does produce the police report, with the initial observation that the victim sustained first degree burns. He notes that somewhere a subsequent report noted a second degree burn.

So this means - what? Because he didn't die of third degree burns that it doesn't count as an assault?

Everyone's lucky this kid didn't die or get burned into disfigurement.

My point is that the President jumped into a tragic case and then has failed to insert himself into any other *possibly* racially motivated attacks since. Why? Is he only interested in black victims of terrible violent confrontations? Don't other races matter to him?

Thanks for the link, by the way. All the other news I've seen of this (news, not idiots blogging) just reports the initial attack, and no subsequent follow-up. Whoever these assailants are I hope they get caught before they actually kill someone.
