Why is it that when you try to tell an official in Waterbury that there is some funny business going on, the only thing they can respond with are:

you're dilusional
this official has never done wrong
why are you on a witch hunt
what is your political agenda

and my favorite:

there will be legal action taken !!

Not knowing that if they take legal action, they will find out things that would have been better left alone

Give someone a City job and a title and they think they can do no wrong ..........

or wont get caught

And the recent assignments of Berger & Pinto with funds from federal stimulus dollars had been done in a non political way. <--- that's sarcasm.
i feel sorry for the taxpayers of waterbury; custodians making 80K, employees "borrowing" city property, convicted ex-govenor making 100K to consult on bringing in new business, etc.
even if it something fishy is pointed out, the public is too lame to want to change or do anything about it.

<quoted text>
They are more than lame! Slightly over 13,000 people (out of over 50,000) came out to vote Tuesday.

Daily Horoscope for December 21

Capricorn

Your self-confidence bubbles over as the Sun enters your sign at the Solstice, bringing a more positive and resilient atmosphere. This happy state of affairs will continue for the next four weeks, so personal magnetism is the name of the game. It's also a marvellous opportunity to get new projects off the ground, taking the initiative whenever possible. Think positive! And don't forget to write down your New Year's resolutions.
