Is there a market for adult entertainment in Natchitoches? There may be plenty saying they don't want it here, but that does not mean that people don't want it? What those opposing a gentleman's club are really saying is we don't want it here in our community, and we don't want you or our neighbors or our children to have access to it. A gentlemen's club is like a church...both have open doors, and both offer access to a different world, which you may choose to enter.

Not saying it will happen, it probably won't. And I am certainly not endorsing or suggesting it is needed. What I am saying is whether it is need or wanted, the existing power structure will prevent it from having a chance....even if someone wanted to give it a try.

Because of the existing business climate and attitude in this town, many legitimate and mainstream entities opt to avoid this town.
An enterprise with sexual overtones would certainly meet with objections, legitimate or not, from the power mongers in this town.

But I do ask, to what filth in this town do you refer?

One additional point, consistent with opinions in this forum, I have made the point before, and you give me the opportunity to make it again. This town has difficulty with the exercise of free speech.
A gentlemen's club operator will tell you this is a First Amendment issue, one of free speech, free assembly and free expression. "Filth" as you call it is Constitutionally protected, which can be regulated, but not banned, eradicated, or erased from the planet or Natchitoches.
You know the same freedom of assembly is what "protects" those adulturous liasons this town of gossips is so interested in, and freedom of speech is what lets the gossips take about those encounters.
If the potential of nude dancing is filth, and protected by the Constitution...how does that compare to adultry, which a violation of one the Ten Commandments.
I am not saying any of these behaviors are right, just that they are protected behaviors, like it or not.

What they mean to say is they don't want it here because they don't want people to see their car parked outside. I think they should have one with enclosed parking so nosy people driving by can't see whos car is in the lot. They would have to go inside to see and once they go inside they can't ever tell who they saw in there because it would look bad on them for being in there.

Hmm....your employees will have some of the highest per hour earnings in the parrish. Besides people being morally opposed to your endeavor, they will also be jealous.

I agree you have 1st Amendment protections, but many here feel their personal beliefs trump the Constitution....which is ashamed.
