The Deputies and Troopers radio traffic goes through the NPSO 99% of the time. All though the Troopers do use their dispatch a lot also which would mean that the NPSO dispatchers would not know if they were on a traffic stop or not until they advised if they had anyone under arrest. All of the Troopers have there own lap tops in their units also. As for the city having any records of the stop no they would not because they do not handle Troopers radio traffic. Does that explain it enough for you. Or do you need to go smoke your cigar on bended knees and ponder this somemore ...where are you going with this? I'm not disagreeing that Lacaze oughta be nailed for this, I'm just not following your point.

Okay, ya'll have ran over randy with a dump truck, it is time to move on to a new subject. Who cares anyhow. People brake the law all the time in Natchitoches, people in the public eye, so what makes this case so special. Who gives a rats bass....there is crap goes on every day that shouldn't...even the president of the United States slept with women half his age while running the white house...what happened to him?? he finally admitted he lied and now his wife is running for president and he will be back in the saddle again if she wins..lol...so what makes R.L. so bad..he drank a few beers...in a work car...I bet the poor man is stressed out to the max and needed them to cope...have a little compasion instead of all this damned gossip...He is just a man..he is not God...all humans make mistakes...I hope he learns from this one and drinks his beers at home from now on...so you people can't crucify him...get a life...I don't even know the man so don't think I am saying this because I have a connection to him...I have never heard his name before this forum...there are much worse things going on in this town. There are people getting 2nd,3rd,4th DWI's and are still driving the streets..We need to build more prisons and get "THOSE" people off the streets..they are the sick ones...they are the ones who need locked up..as for Randy, let the poor man alone..you have raked him over the coals enough...why does everybody care so much about this particular case of DWI...so he was driving a work car...so what..that goes along with his job...it is his car to drive...others do it to, you just don't see them because they have not gotten caught yet...will you want those people prosecuted too..? Judges have done it, state officials have done it...my god, even some men of God have done it...priest and such....So why does everyone hate Randy so bad and want him strung up and burned at the cross...? Is he a bad man? Is he a hateful person? Does he have lots of enemies? Evidentally he does...What kind of person is this guy? I would really like to know..Just because he drank a few beers does not make him a monster...yes, he should not have been driving but my god, hasn't this gossip page went on long enough...Give the poor man a break and shut up..Or call him and offer to take him to AA...that is what a real christian would do..not sit here on this forum and drag the poor guy in the mudd over and over again...

(he drank a few beers...in a work car...I bet the poor man is stressed out to the max and needed them to cope) Drinking is a depressant it's not going to help your stress a wise person would find other ways to relieve stress. (so he was driving a work car...so what..that goes along with his job...it is his car to drive.) This is where you are TOTALLY WRONG!!!! Yes he was driving a City of Natchitoches car and it is a big deal. What would have happen if he had wrecked and killed a family member of yours? You would be sueing the city for several thousands of dollars ( think about that). And No that car is NOT HIS it was assigned to him to use but it belongs to the City of Natchitoches. If it was his then he would have to keep up the maintenance on it himself but he does not. Have you ever had anyone killed by a drunk driver? If not then I hope that you never it's not a good thing to go through life with. People who drink and drive NEED TO BE SLAMMED!!!

Thank you, Oldandwise, aka, "Damage Control" for Randy. You need to change your posting name to "Oldandextremelystupid " which will more accurately reflect the intelligence, or lack thereof, of your post.

If he is convicted, what is he going to have to do for his 30 hours of community service? One more question. Who pays the insurance on that car, the city or him. If he is convicted he will have to get sr22 insurance and that is expensive.

The city pays the insurance on all city owned vehicles. Do you honestly think that it is going to make it far enough for him to get charged? I for one don't believe it will.

OUCH wrote: NATCHITOCHES -- The City of Natchitoches' director of Community Development was arrested last weekend, accused of driving while intoxicated. Randall S. LaCaze was driving a City of Natchitoches vehicle when he was pulled over by Louisiana State Police. The city is waiting for LaCaze to face the charges and for a legal decision to be reached before taking any major disciplinary actions, said Courtney Hornsby, Natchitoches' director of programming and promotions. "It is at this point just what it is," she said. "We are waiting for the results ... from the proper legal channels." State Police said LaCaze was stopped Saturday shortly after midnight on the La. Highway 6 Bypass driving an Impala with public plates. He was arrested on charges of DWI, open container and improper lane usage. Troopers said he refused a breath test. LaCaze, 57, of Natchitoches was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Jail. For now, LaCaze has lost his "take-home privileges," which means he will have to leave his city vehicle on city property after normal business hours, Hornsby said. Hornsby said the city has no record of LaCaze being stopped or arrested for other DWIs or any major traffic violations Was this in the Natchitoches Times? If not, where did you read it?

And now it has been rehashed to the point of nausea by people who seem to have tasted blood and need more. The Lilliputians seem to have strapped down another "giant". A mid-level employee of the town government has a ticket for a DWI. This is the biggest entertainment since Oprah visited. Truly, so bad it's just sad.

I did not find Oprah entertainment. Can't stand the woman. As for RL he just got caught. No not one thing will be done to him. City Hall just might be in for a big suprise. Ms. Morrow has the Feds coming back and RL know too much on Wayne.Sure is getting hot in Natchiotches! If the bullets and drugs don't kill you, the water will.

I believe that this single event has brought out a great many side issues that amount to alot more than an employee of the city getting a DUI ticket. Dissatisfaction with the business dealings, unequal treatment by local government and law enforcement, and even outright dislike for the cities leaders. All of those points have been made, repeated, and flogged to death. What will be will be. To be honest, it looks like this guy is turning into a scapegoat for alot of folks who have major issues with the powers-that-be. I suspect he has done nothing wrong to the vast majority of the people who have called for his execution on this thread.

Sorry Natchitoches. Should know it something else. Not a town to come and retire in and die from the water. Seem a show today with Julia Roberts checking out a town cause the water was bad. Alot people died cause of cancer and other things as that letter I read from someone. I would say that just could open the door for a good lawyer class action law suite against the town.

The only folks on here that want this dropped is the ones that have something to hide. These people do not want to face the truth about the leaders of this city that have their heads up their azzez.

You suspect wrong if you think he has done no wrong. That whole city hall needs to be cleaned out. No we do not need Lee Posey in there as Mayor.
