I thought that place went out of business years ago after all the scandal. What is up with their sign? I just noticed this the other day, they are using LSU colors...don't they know this is Demon Country! Way to show hometown spirit.
What does "LSU colors" and "Demon Country" have to do with insurance? Do you have some inferiority complex related to LSU, or perhaps you suffer from juvenile habitual masturbation resulting from personal underachievement related to association with Demons?

Yes. And Calvin Braxton too.
Now that's a strange combination, Freidman and Braxton. Wonder how that came to be. To those of you who are offended by the use of LSU colors, logo, you may as well get over it. LSU has and will always be the number one team of the state. It doesn't matter where you live or what's in close proximity....it's in your blood....when you're an LSU fan, you bleed the purple and gold!

(Not knocking NSU, I like and support the team, they're home-town, but, my heart....is in LSU! Sorry!)

Don't Sam and Calvin own other stuff together too? Hotels etc?

I have thought it was common knowledge they are half brothers. Talk to one on the phone and then call the other and tell me what you think!

Sam's Son is a graduate of LSU. How many games did the Demons win in football this past year?

To all the commentators who made comments about the Traber Agency sign..... if you will take time to look closely at the sign, there is primarily purple and white which is the Demon colors, as well as a small amount of a purple and gold border which is LSU colors, so please get off the color/sign/team kick. Makes me wonder if, in fact "you" know what colors are for which team ??? As far as the Agency itself still being in business,(after 101 years of doing business) please take time to ask any of the 3000+ customers who have insurance with the agency and ask "them" if they are happy with the service, pricing, and integrety of the agency since the "so called" scandal, that did not involve Traber Agency, the business, but more specifically two greedy individals who broke the law, "on their own" and who were convicted and served time for "their" crime! Thank you!

I don't know what all the fuss is about. The sign looks great! As an avid NSU fan I think it is refreshing that a local business would spend money on a sign that reflects it's attitude toward the local university! As far as doing business with Traber, I have been a customer for the past 22 years and have had nothing but the absolute best service with very experienced people who work there. Also, I have called other agencies for pricing and they were not even close. As far as the number of customers is concerned, I cannot answer that, but I do know that I have many friends who purchase their insurance from this very reputable business and they have nothing but positive things to say.

Did they actually DO any time? I thought they copped a plea on each other & the city employee, avoiding any "time". I may be wrong, though.

Ken and Bob did jail time but, are both out I think. As for Powell, I don't think he ever did time as far as I know...he just moved away.

I have my auto, home, and motorcycle through Traber and they were the cheapest out of anyone on town or companies you can get direct on the internet. They have a great group of girls there who go out of their way for you. I'm not sure of the exact number of customers they have, but from the many people I personally know who do business with them and from how busy they stay I would say the number is definitely up there. I have also had a great experience with the claim service. No complaints here. 101 years in business people, hello that speaks for itself. I'm not aware of any other agency in town that has been in business that long.

"too flirty", I don;t usually get on this forum, but since you are using my name, I thought it best to respond. Thank you for your helpfull but inaccurate comments, but none of our employees "bash" any of the other agencies in town! We are much too professional with three of the seven employees having worked at Traber Agency for 32, 30 & 20 years! I have 30 years in the business as well. Also, there are certain questionable tactics used by inexperienced producers out selling insurance that we have come across when quoting commercial business,(such as using lower business receipts, or lower payroll amounts to quote/write an account, which would make it less expensive at first, but would come back at the end of the policy period as an audit charge/premium to you as the insured)."If" I phoned you back "inquiring" about the quote you recieved from another agency, it was for the betterment of your business, from a coverage & pricing standpoint and nothing else. So please don't be offended when I as a professional insurance agent calls you back to inquire about your quote, since I am only looking after your interest. When it comes to business insurance, it is not only about pricing, but also about providing the best coverage for your particular needs. We at Traber Agency will strive to meet all of the above! Thank you, again, for your comments.
