Natchitoches Restaurants

My favorite is LaFarine. I love the sandwiches and pizza and the desserts! The Landing has good prices for lunches; dinner meals are good and sometimes not so good. Papas once was very good, but quality has declined. Mama's is always good. Mariner is usually always good, but last time I ate there I got really sick from the food, so now not sure if I want to go back. Have not been to Hana's. Don't know about Antoon's. If the food is good people will come!

what does everyone think about the new mediteranean restaurant that is opening where pj's used to be? they are going to have a hooka lounge...interesting?

I like the Landing. Food prices are little high and portions are a little small but the food is GOOD. Yea Kent!!!!!!!!!!

How can Papas not be good yet Mamas is?? Hmm. They're both owned by Clay Mayeaux and operate out of the same kitchen. I assume the same cooks too. Interesting.

You can type what you like, but it doesn't change the fact that he falsely advertizes his seafood and the such. It is frozen. Frozen shrimp and fish can be bought at wal-mart, why go out to eat it?

landing sucks, Hana, Mariner's, Antoon's, Mama's Papa's are all good.

All shrimp and fish are frozen unless you are at the boat to buy it when it comes in DUMBASS.

Because Kent is an asshole. And you are wrong. You CAN buy seafood fresh and have it delivered FRESH. Not WHOLESALE seafood similar to that of SamsClub.(Which is what Kent does) He orders seafood from WHOLESALE distributors and YES it is FROZEN in bags. He then thaws them out in a sink like other cheap restaurants do, and charges $20 a plate for terrible quality seafood. So before you use the old "slander and libel" bullshit, it is NOT SLANDER IF IT IS THE TRUTH AND CAN BE PROVEN. You also do not call yourself a high end restaurant when you take food from "prior" brunches and banquets, and re freeze it, then serve it on future banquets. Now put that in your pipe and smoke it.

And by the way, I have never worked for his ignorant ass, but i know people who have, and this is inside info.

Also i am merely commenting on him stating "FRESH SEAFOOD" is what he sells. HE DOES NOT. Hence, I am right. It is previously frozen.

it is hilarious isn't it, that Kent and his other clueless employees seem to think it is a "disgruntled" ex employee or the such, when it is apparent that TONS of people in Natchitoches and even other areas can't stand him. Hell even the other day, a Brown's security man stated that Kent is an asshole and he is glad they do not deal with him any longer. Other shop owners on front street hate him....so is this coincidence? Now who looks like the "dumbass"

Wow, what did Kent do to you. 4 uninterupted posts. Looks like I really exposed a nerve. Do people in Nat. really dislike Kent as much as you say? I'd like to hear what others have to say. Not former employees but towns people who really know him.
