Where Can I find A Job??

does anyone know where I can get a job?

I can do anything and Im not picky...Ive put apps in at different places and Im just not finding what can fit my schedule.

I am available M-F 8-5pm and every other weekend.

any advice or anyone in the same boat as me??

maybe for grass cutting or babysitting some older kids like 7 , 8, or 9 years old?
maybe run an ad for dog sitting while people go on vacations...

You should definetly do some babysitting. I know ALOT of people trying to find sitters for their younger kids. Not just during the day, but a lot of people work nights too.

Thanks for the ides but the only problem with the dog sitting is that I am terrified of dogs

If you are searching for a job we need to know if you are male or female. Yes it matters. Some jobs females don't want to do, some jobs males don't want to do.

If you are terrified of dogs you need to work on that. People that need dog sitters are not usually pitbull owners.

If you are not PICKY why can you only work m-f 8-5 you need to find a job at a bank ! or QUIT BEING SO PICKY !!!!!!!!

I don't think M-F 8-5 is being picky!! Yes, we all need jobs but should have a life outside of work, too. All I can say is check out www.laworks.com (LA Dept of Labor) for Natch, apply everywere you'd like to work, attach a well-worded cover letter & resume highlighting applicable work history and call to follow up. Ask to speak to the manager. Otherwise, you're just another faceless application.
As far as babysitting & dog-sitting goes. Talk to parents. Word-of-mouth is the best way to get a sitting job.

You can go by Buddy's Grocery, 985 Hwy 504 and put in an application. It is a convenience store with a deli. They are currently looking for a part-time cook. Mostly days. They make the best hamburger in Natchitoches and it's a clean, friendly atmosphere. It's located across Hwy 504 from the boat ramp on Sibley Lake.

laworks.net has been at least a little bit useful to me. I don't know anybody in particular, but they keep a pretty comprehensive list of hiring companies.
