Letter to the Editor

I think the letter to the editor from Susan Molstad concerning the Cane River Bar and Grill was exceptional. Hope everyone gets a chance to read it.

Yes it was a nice letter,but I have to know has she ever complained about the music coming from front street every other weekend? You can't tell me she can't hear it also.I live further from it then she does and I hear it like I'm sitting infront of the stage.Someone tries something to help their business in this sagging economy and theres alway something or someone in the way.I'm sorry but if they make this business stop having bands then they need to shut down the bands on the river bank.Less then a mile apart one can and one can't? I don't think soooooooo!

Please read the article again. She wasn't complaining about the music.

I did read the article and thats what I got out of it.If not for the music the article would have never been written.

What is wrong with you people? Everytime somebody opens a business in this town you want to run them out on a rail. You already ran Woody's out of town. They were located on Washington St., you complained. He moved to the by pass you complained. He finally packed up and moved out of Louisiana and has a thriving business now. How do you expect people to come to this place to spend money if there is nothing for them to do? You want to over tax them to stay in hotels, bed and breakfest and camper parks so they can do what walk down some street made of bricks from India? There should be signs up warning them they could be arrested for hummmming to loud while they walk.

I always enjoyed going to Woody's. Where is he at now? Just curious.

You do understand she wasn't complaining about the music or the business, right. She was actually complimenting the business.

Woody's Beach Bar is the name of the bar now. It's located on the Beach at the end of the Sea Wall Galveston, Texas. When you get to the end of the sea wall on the west end you make a curve to the right. When you curve back to the left there is a small pond on the beach side. At the end of that pond is Woody's Beach Bar.
