Someone please explain why a group of students from East are out on a school night begging for donations for their basketball teams? They were soliciting money from patrons of Walgreens without adult supervision. Perhaps this explains why the scores are so low at that school!!!

The kids test scores are low because there is no discipline in the school. If you can't get the kids to behave then they can't learn. Plain and simple. The students are running the school.

Well, it starts at home. Parents are not raising their children to be honest and productive individuals.

Aren't that low huh? You consider 39.9% passing grade level to be good?

To clarify, 39.9% of the students at East are performing at or above their grade level. That's pathetic.

The liberals of this country have tied the hands of the teachers. They can no longer discipline the students. The students know this and the beat goes on and on and on and on and non caring parents let it go on and on and on.

Was watching the news on KTBS tonight. In Shreveport 75% of the students either fail or quit before they graduate, yet some Miss Know It All said there was nothing wrong with the schools in Cado Parish. Personally, if 75% of the students are not graduating high school, then something is desperately wrong.

The NEA is more concerned with a student's self esteem than they are about the student's ability to read, write, and do math. Get back to the basics.

The NRA has nothing to do with the dysfunctional system in natchitoches parish! You have an clueless old fart for a superintendent and a school board that cares only about lining their pockets. The administrators in the parish were picked based on politics rather than credentials! This system is at least 30 years behind times.

He didn't say NRA, he said NEA, the teachers union and it has a heckuva lot to do with what's wrong with the school system!

Don't blame the NEA! Louisiana does not recognize collective bargaining. You can blame the superintendent and the bleeding heart women in central office. They are scared of the students and parents. For example an eleven year old student backed the superintendent down!

Actually the NEA and teacher's unions care nothing at all about students. It's all about protecting their rank and file.
